My son plans on staying amateur for at least another year. He really wants to win the NGG and has come so close two out of the three times he has gone.
sorry to hear about your son.. Just gotta keep working hard everyday.

I know Graziano is turning pro and I heard Elie Augustama may turn pro. Dont know about most of them.

Jordan does work very hard and most people thought he defeated Lewis in the semi-finals. Unfortunately, only 2 of the 5 judges agreed. Many in his weight class will go pro, but there will still be good boxers in the division. Jordan just needs to keep improving and then he will win it. It is more about what he does than who else is in his division.

Graziano, Augustama, Lewis and Koon all have said they will be going pro this year. I'm sure a few more will as well. Jordan is going to stay amateur since he is only 19.

thats good that he is staying. Thats the problem with amatuer boxing in the United States, people turn pro while there still young and havent fully developed. The state of amatuer boxing would be a lot of better if more fighters like your son stuck around longer

I agree. Too many rush into the pros before they are ready.

About 85. I used to laugh at guys that didn't know, but it does get hard to keep track. I don't have his book to look at and verify the number right now.
