when tyson was at his best 85-89 how far up the p4p rating did he get?

he was the No.1 in on point..

He was was up to #1 in 1989 in Ring Magazine Pound for Pound Ratings. Don't know about 1985-1988. He was still #7 at the end of 1990.

impressive...

I always knew he was rated highly at that time, but#1 P4P? Tyson was certainly something.

Its just a shame what happened to him... Real Tragedy.

...Imagine had he kept his trainers and stayed away from Don King and just focused on his career. Who knows.... Would have avoided that silly loss to Douglas and Avoided virtually career ending Prison.... Would have probably set up a Super Fight with Holyfield, then Bowe..

Who knows..

Hands down he was the number one fighter in the world during the 1988-89 era. At least in those two years, he was THE BEST. THE GREATEST FIGHTER IN THE WORLD.
