I think he's a very good boxer, but the only way he'll win a world title, is when Hopkins retires and the belts are all vacant. I can't think of any one in the current middleweight division that would give him many problems.

I saw that post aswell. He only changed his record, 'cause someone correctly informed him there are no draws in amateur boxing.

I have to agree on this one. I know we should make allowances e.t.c but this one really pushes the boat out. I used to post on one forum where you weren't allowed to start a thread until you had 250+ posts to your credit, that would be a good start.

That's going to affect large numbers of normal users, who might like to hear other legitimate boxing fans opinions on subjects they want to discuss. It's also going to cut down on the numbers of new users that join the forum, eventually that's going to cause some sort of stagnation.

On the subject of $eif, ever looked at the times of his posts? He's logged on 'till late at night and the majority of the posts are during the day. Do 13/14 year old kids not go to school anymore?

since when did amateurs start listing their number of ko's? never happened in my days of setting the amateur heather on fire... anyways howard eastman.. yep hes got what it takes nice style, great technique though sometimes his footwork can be a bit of a worry and he certainly has the ability.

hed be there now if he'd pressed joppy a bit harder in their fight a few years back. hes a strange dude is howard, when hes not in the mood he can be very bad to watch ie the first 8 rounds of the cheriefi fight. but if hes in the mood hes awesome. ive always time for watching an eastman fight

the only concern id have for eastman just now is his age. ok i know hes only 33 which isnt exactly ancient but by middleweight standards its a bit pressing. if he gets his shot within the next 18 months then yeah i think he'd take it. any longer than that id begin to have my doubts

He needs a World title Hopkins doesnt hold them all does he so go for one of the other ones, Felix Sturm wouldnt be a bad opponent.

I like Howard, he may not've looked that sharp last time out, but I think he has the goods to win a world title yes.

Ps. My amateur record stands at 0 wins, 0 losses (0 coming by way of knockout). It is a slight improvement on my professional record.

He didnt look good at all in his last fight and it was much closer than the scorecard said especially the German judge according to him Eastman only lost about 2 rounds.

Perhaps he felt guilty about the Reid-Ottke decision!

I did like Woodhall's analysis of that scoring though. He suggested that because the guy was hiding from Howard all night this was the basis the match was scored on.

Don't thing Woodhall agreed with it but it is interesting nonetheless.
