Showtime won't want Bradley to fight him again - Bradley only just got the decision (at least as scored by the judges).
Witter went in to every title defence knowing that there would be no way back if he lost. OK this is harsh - other ppl come back - but he doesn't have an attractive style.
Mick Hennessy has some good fighters on the way up and why not concentrate on them?

It should be over on the world scene. He's buried himself again re US TV. I know he wants it back but why not just win it on the day?

Anyway, Bradley was the only guy who would fight Witter. When Witter was European and Commonwealth champ he couldn't get many challengers. When he had a WBC elim to face Mayweather his original opponent pulled out.
I really think this is the end. Junior's punch output it very low, and the reflexes aren't there. Unless he moves up to welter I can't see anything happening for him. And if he does, he'll get turned into a stepping stone (interestingly, it seems Andre Berto didn't want to fight him).
It's a shame for Witter but it's time other fighters got the push.
Olusegun Is overrated, an unmotivated Witter would blast him. Since when were Kotelnik, N'dou, Corley or Lynes ever top 10 junior welters when Witter boxed them? Harris you can just about have, but even then we're talking about the bottom half of the top 10 if at all. Ricky also beat Oliveira and Magee who were probably solid top 15 fighters and won an elim vs the admittedly forgettable Mike Stewart. Point is Hatton was seen as a guy who was overdue fighting for a world title. He'd had a lot of fights and wasn't going to get any better. Bradley was seen as a prospect appearing on a series called ShoBox The New Generation and his fight to nudge him to the next level never happened (Castillo).
