Hypothetical Match-Up Game
That would be an interesting one...
I think Bruno has this one behind his big hard jab, Mason roughs him up when he gets the chance...but Bruno with his jab and clinching edges him to victory. The 6th round sees a scare for Bruno fans when he is rocked by mason...but he manages to regain the momentum of the fight scoring a points win.
Floyd Patterson Vs James Toney (190lbish) 12 rounds.

Azumah Nelson all the way over Morales, 12 or 15 rounds, doesn't matter, in either case Nelson pounds a decision in 12 and a kayo in the 14th if its a 15 rounder

Marciano KO's Johnson in eight. Johnson does a good job of sticking the jab & tying his man up in close through the early rounds, where Marciano struggles to adapt. He turns up the heat, digs to the body, & sets up a KO shot to the jaw in eight rounds, though. Johnson staggers to his feet a moment after the ref reaches ten.

Oscar De La Hoya KO1 Davey Moore. Oscar comes out and dazzles Davey and the crowd for a few seconds before landing a crushing left hook for the KO1 victory... :P

Re: Hypothetical Match-Up Game
while wills seldom gets his due, from what I understand he was somewhat limited as a boxer, standing in front of his man and throwing the straight whenever they came in close enough, somewhat like Willard did with his opponents, albiet a right uppercut. I see Charles coping with Wills power though, as even a passed his best version went 15 with Marciano; winning a unaminous decision over Wills, with some tough moments in there as well.

Re: Hypothetical Match-Up Game
Who is Bert Sugar anyhow ?
Klitschko by KO Rnd 4.
Carnera looks terrible, he is out paced from the first minutes. His jab is not enough to stop Wlad from landing his own and following up with a big right hand. Carnera is dropped in the early part of Rnd 2, but gets up instantly. He tries his best to bring the fight to Wlad, but heart and passion is no substitute for the technical dominance that Wlad has over him.
By Round 4, Wlad has established his domination by bombing Carnera out. Carnera struggles against other big men, he does well against smaller foes, but when his strategy of size does not work he has no game B.

Robinson stops an out-of-it De La Hoya along the ropes in the tenth. De La Hoya fought the fight of his life to lead on one card, but trail on two others.

Holmes wins by creating an EMP pulse with his supreme jab...that sees the giant Frazier freeze up.
The lifeless hulf of Frazier crumbles onto a seedy looking house that has ODLH dressed in drag (im sure you can
see the images on google :P).

Foreman wins the decision but nearly stops Holyfield. Holy loses most rounds, but started strong. Foreman is far less fragile and recovers quicker in the later rounds.

PBF stays away from the power making KT look clumsy at times. KT has his moments and traps PBF against the ropes, landing solid body blows. All in at the end, both guys seem as though they have enough for another few rounds.

Re: Hypothetical Match-Up Game
Patterson gets knocked out in the 8th round in what is a see-saw cliff hanger with both men having their moments hitting the canvas or damn near doing so...Patterson's faster, Holyfield's stronger, rapid fire combinations...but in the end Floyd's chin just can't stand up to the "Real Deal".

Good one. I think. The battle of two giants of their day. The real giant is Valuev, however. But for me this is a no brainer. Valuev by a late KO. Valuev has better skill, and a chin too high to hit.

Re: Hypothetical Match-Up Game
In my heart Patterson wins..like he does in all of his fights :)
Carnera and Valuev swap long range jabs and end up in a slow tangled waltz of big men. Both fighting for underhooks, Carnera's
head finds Valuevs jaw more often than his gloves do early on. By the fourth round Valuev's weight advantage begins to tell. Carnera is resilient and holds his own....by the tenth round and the final bell the crowd has sat through a somewhat slow and sluggish spectacle that has had its moments...few and far between however.
Valuev SD 10.
