Why would Peter come over to England for a fight with Skelton/Harrison?? I don't know why, but i've got the impression that haye could go with Warren from recent interviews and video clips...
Warren's got Peter coming over, according to him, anyways..... he says its for MS/AH, but now he's proved he can deliver, he'll offer it to Haye maybe? Much more money for Mr Warren as it'll be massive, a good reason for Peter to come and fight, WBC have said they'll put Haye in their top10, Haye gets a title fight and is closer to a shot at Vlad.
If Haye's stayed in shape since Enzo, no reason he won't be 220 right now... he'd fancy it against Peter IMO.
Not completely implausable
(Wishful thinking perhaps

With a fight with Sickali Biitchsko later this year, I think perter would come over and mash down Skelton or Audley, but no way would he risk it with a much reduced purse to fight Haye - Hay might beat him!
Its one thing to get a £2Million to crush mediocre opposition and get £3M against Haye and risk missing on on a bumper payday..assuming Sickali turns up.
One thing, I kike Haye -0 but he should stop this HUGE news stuff, either tell us or stay silent.. He is worse than SPUD!

Haye said an announcement will be made in the next ten days or so in relation to what he said during the amateur finals.
David said it's something he has been working on in the last couple of years, so I'm thinking it might be something to do with his personal life, rather than his actual boxing career.
Time will tell!

Amateur Boxer, who should stay just that until after 2012.EddieShredder wrote:Who's George Groves?Gray-Fox wrote:Well we already know he's a father, so it's not going to be that.
I think he's going to be signing George Groves in a double deal alongside Golden Boy Promotions. I have reliable sources that is happening, so I'm guessing that's gonna be his announcement.
He should turn over when the iron's hot. He's no Amir Khan, and I can see someone coming up and taking his mantle. 4 years is a LONG time in amateur boxing.yiddo14 wrote:Amateur Boxer, who should stay just that until after 2012.EddieShredder wrote:Who's George Groves?Gray-Fox wrote:Well we already know he's a father, so it's not going to be that.

I agree it is a long time in the am's, but that could be a bonus too.Gray-Fox wrote:He should turn over when the iron's hot. Degale will be gone after the Summer and potentially that leaves Groves with 4 years honing his skills against the best amateurs in the world in preperation for 2012.
It's easy to say here though, and if he can get a good deal now(which I suspect he could do with ease)then I wouldn't blame him for turning over.
Shame to see young amateurs with plenty of potential turn over before they have really had a crack at the International scene though.
Fighting world class amateurs on a regular basis cannot be bettered for a fighters development.
Re: So what is Haye's big news??
Hmm hope for peter and as I showed on another thread there is an interview with him on allegedly TV where they ask about peter and I bet that Warren would like a 3 fight deal, I also believe that he's split with Maloney now so he's free of all those things.
Re: So what is Haye's big news??
I agree with DG, Peter's people have already stated they are looking at a soft touch in July before the fight with Vitali towards the end of the year with people like JD Chapman being mentioned - it's strictly a warm up. Skelton and especially Harrison fit the bill, David Haye certainly doesn't
Re: So what is Haye's big news??
He said it was something he'd been working on for a couple of years now, so i wouldn't be surprised if he's setting up his own promotional company.
If he was getting married or anything to do with his personal life i don't think he'd have made an announcement like that on tv

Not sure to be honest, they haven't done any shows though have they?Emerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:I thought Hayemaker Promotions was already up and running?Mario wrote:He said it was something he'd been working on for a couple of years now, so i wouldn't be surprised if he's setting up his own promotional company.

Maybe that he's promoting his next fight himself or has signed some new talent? Something along those lines i reckon.

Yeh cos that went so bloody well with A-force promotions! Don't like to be mean about Audley but he'd have been better without having to worry about that stuff

You don't think it might be signing some of the olympians to Hayemaker promotions? Billy Joe Saunders is being touted around

I think Billy Joe Saunders will make a cracking pro.
Of the whole Beijing squad I think his style will convert the best to the pro ranks.
As for Groves it a tough one isnt it? He has a nice counter punching style with good strength but what whats to say he will be England nr 1 in 4 yrs time? Anything could happen in the interim.
I know he beat 'Chunky' Degale in the ABAs so it must have hurt to see him qualify and know he has a 4 yr wait til the London games.
I reckon if there is a good pro deal on the table he should seriously consider turning in his vest. Wont be any easy decision though by any means.

I don't think he's a counter-puncher at all. God knows what you were watching. He's just s typical English box-fighter with a fairly big punch.TerribleTerry wrote:I think Billy Joe Saunders will make a cracking pro.

A lot of people don't actually think he beat Degale at all. It was a contentious decision, and the kind that George Groves was always going to get in London.
Also, word on the grapevine is that Golden Boy promotions have offered him a deal. It makes sense seeing as Adam Booth was seen at scouting Grovesy at the London ABAs alongside Robert Diaz of...yep, Golden Boy.
