Sprott vs Bidenko
Sprott is fighting Bidenko at the end of May. I thought Sprott had retired. Is he coming to fight or is this just one last payday?

Re: Sprott vs Bidenko
With Audley lined up to fight for the WBC belt, Sprott should do everything humanly possible to win this fight.
But then look at his total non-effort in Skelton II. Too weird is Sprott.

I wish Sprott all the best - Ive wanted him to do well ever since I watched him get jobbed against Timo Hoffmann in Germany. But he really is so hot and cold - he's got Danny Williams syndrome - you just don't know which Sprott will turn up. And one thing with Bindenko is he's consisent - I reckon a clear points win for Bidenko.

Re: Sprott vs Bidenko
Agreed, Sprotty is infuriating. Would still like to see him throw a spanner in the works.
A loss here relegates him to total journeyman status, which will be a b#tch when Audley shocks everyone by whacking Peter and getting the WBC strap.
Speaking of Bidenko, at only 4-0 he fought 28-0 20-foot tall Valuev - and went 12 rds!! The boxrec report states 'Valuev almost knocked out in this fight'
Can anyone shed any light on this odd comment?

Re: Sprott vs Bidenko
gerald nobles staggered the beast witha left hook
and i remember little domingues throwing a heap of punches at the end of their 12 rounder
bidenko is a really skillfull boxer
sprotty can win this if hes up for it...bidenko is small and dsnt hit hard...so sprotty will not fear him
on paper its a gr8 distance fight...sprotty to edge it

We have "dont hit me" Harrison and Williams and Sprotty who run hot and cold, what a bloody trio. At least Big Matt comes to fight each time. He aint pretty in any sense of the word but he has guts and with his limited skills fights to win. He doesnt pretend to be a Lewis or even a Bruno but he will give any HW a hard time.

Re: Sprott vs Bidenko
people are too hard on Williams
he has his off days
but just remember the guys good fights......
beat potter with dislocated shoulder
came from the edges of the abyss to beat tyson
the first fight with skelton (his best performance)
the demolition of Kali meehan
the stoppage of gammer (the supposed next generation)
and recently going to war in europe with prospect Platov
Danny williams is not finished by a long chalk

Yes, it was a bit of a speculative comment. I wouldn't call that 'almost knocked out', while some other individual - god bless the poor soul - would.Asterix wrote:Someone called Wouter has removed the comment. Here's the light you're asking for, though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaigdKiO8Xc
