Post by DG. »

Hatton is done!

What an overrated slugger that boy is.

Maliginag beats him and so does N'dou.

In fact. Ndou would stop him.

Stick a fork in Hatton. he is dione.

An old inactive lightweight, usual Hatton fodder!

Defend tonight and say it was a good win? Hatton fighting old slow past it fighters.

Hatton has been on the decline for a couple of years, not as much as Witter though

Hatton did what he always does tonight, I watched the replay on t'net, got to 8 rounds and was bored and skipped the rest to the interview, same old hooks and holding, nothing exciting there. Hatton is basically a better version of Shea Neary.

That said he would beat Malignaggi, the only thing Paulie has going for him is his loud mouth, his fan base in NY and the fact the light-welter division isn't up to much at the minute. Style wise I don't see how he offers anything above Witter.

DG, no harm mate, your full of it. Hatton is the best at 140 at the moment and would beat both Ndou and Paulie, you want to go slag your mate Witter off for his fight the other week rather than Ricky who made a game fight of it tonight rather than Witters fecking around that he called a boxing match

Hatton is certainly Passed it, He may beat Mallignaggi, but that said, would it mean anything? Mallignaggi is nothing Special at all, Hatton beating him will only be a Significant Win in British Fans eyes, not one the World Scene.

Hatton knows the Main fight is with Mayweather, P4P No.1 No Arguing.

To be Frank, I dont think Hatton would even beat Oscar De La Hoya, even as far passed it as he is.

DG is far more boring than Hatton.

They have the same personality defects: thinking their inane drivel and so called witticisms have a hint of humour. Neither can jab properly.

At least one of them can win a fight.

I thought Hatton found that really, really hard work. Not the win so to speak, but the act of having to deliver what he has been delivering for years. I bet he cant move this morning for sheer exhaustion.

Paulie thingy-bob is no threat, but if Diaz etc step up from lightweight I think its time for the old guard to pack it in.

One things for sure, Ricky should avoid Bradley.

So what if he might beat Malignaggi. I've said this before and i'll say it again, Paulie is overrated and the only reason he is so highly rated by 'experts' is because he went the distance with a WEIGHT DRAINED Cotto.

Yes but is the Multi Millionaire Ricky Hatton happy? I mean he only attracted 55,000 people to watch him.
I'm sure he woke up this morning in his big house, and thought 'Damn i only earned a couple of million last night, i wish i was Witter with his small payday last week'.

I think its fair to say that Juan Lacano was selected as a good quality opponent, whom Hatton could beat reasonably easily. And thats was how it turned out.

Hatton may fight Paulie, there is little logic in fighting Ndou, but I honestly can't see him fighting Bradley.

Time will tell, of course, how his career finishes, but I just get the impression that the really tough fights simply won't happen.

I'm Sorry, Are you talking about Lazcano? As in the same that fought Hatton Yesterday?

Seriously Dude, Lazcano is NOT a Quality opponent, don't Kid Yourself. Anyone Who actually payed £15 for this "ComeBack" fight got Ripped Off, anyone who actually payed more to go and Watch it in the Stadium got Ripped Off Even More..

Seriously, You have seen the Quality of Quality in his Potential Opponents.

Mailgnaggi? Witter? Bradley?

There is no Quality at Light Welter. The "Quality" is at Welter where Mayweather is, and see know what happened when he ran into Mayweather.

Hatton would probably lose to Oscar De La Hoya, even as shot as he is.

Hello to the Hatton huggers!

Calm down kids, we get it Witter lost and Ricky is rich!

:D
Hatton and his idiot fans caN not see past the fact the boy is BASIC AND A SLUGGER!

Rocked by an old inactive lightweight handpicked to make hm look good and get blasted out.

As someone said there will only be easy fights from now on.

I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HIM FIGHT BRADLEY.

Hatton is as predictable as his younger brother.

But, as usual with Hatton, its gonna be someoe who ticks some of these boxes.

1) Lightweight
2) No Power
3) Inactive
4) Past their best
5) No threat
6) Opponent has 20% chance of winning.

The con continues!

I'll stick by what I said- good quality- as in decent, above average, not just a bum. I did follow with "Whom Hatton could beat reasonably easily."

Sure, there are much better fighters out there, but we need to be honest and say this for what it was - a comeback fight. No-one took it seriously as a "World Title Challenge."

It was less competitive than the Vince Phillips fight and certainly less than the Tackie fight. Maybe similar to Oliveria but Hatton cannot sustain the attacks like he could back then.

Good comback, showed he could still do 12 rounds well, showed he still marches in straight with his gloves too low. Lazcano was never going to win but it was a comeback fight after a hard, confidence hitting loss. PPV worthy? Well nobody is going to defend that but i've no problem having my phone bills through Sky.

Still think Malignaggi v Hatton can be a competitive fight but I expect much more from Paulie

What a load of BS, I just watched the stream. How many fighters throw 70punches with power a round for 12rounds? How many fighters are that fast and accurate? Win every round against an ex-top 5 lightweight? When has Hatton actually been better?

Now Lazcanno is past his best and semi-retired, but he had a hard training camp, he is biggish at 140 himself, and he is an opponent on par with Phillips/Tackie and better than Maussa. He is pretty basic but there are few who could take that sort of punnishment, it looked pretty painful

Everyone knows I'm a big Hatton critic but that was a solid comeback.

The Hatton roadshow is an embarrassment!!

55,000 football fans, gettin lashed up to sing 'one Riiicckkyy Haattoonn!!'!!!
I'd say 50,000 of the people who were there know absolutely nothin about boxing!!!

I refused to pay £15 to watch it last night but one of the lads stumped up the cash & i watched it there, & we ended up not watchin it cos it was that shit!!

Borin borin borin, comeback fight????? Whats that all about????

Sky are an embarrassment, Hatton is an embarrassment & anybody who went is an embarrassment!!!

.... On a side note, what a fight Moran v Wallace was!!!!!!!

Just a pity only 5 people watched it, if Ricky's football fans we not singin songs drinkin Stella & watched it they might have learned somethin!!!

Agreed, Hatton took some solid blows against a guy who has been fighting at the top level(whatever weight) for a long time..looked OK not spectacular, Lazcano was as tough as old boots and came to fight. a good win.
