Boxrec have him down to fight on a FA card, the same night as the Khan bill in Brum. It could have been a "typo" ie. his name was entered into the FA card rather than the Brum card by mistake, but I've seen this fight up, taken down, and now put up again.

It is deffo a mistake of some kind. Derry Mathews remains with Sports Network. Neither he nor his rep's have ever spoken with anybody else let alone agree to fight for them. Don't know why his name appears on a Fight Academy card. He is not boxing in Birmingham on 21st either. He will box in July in possibly an English Title Fight or International 10 rounder , again in Sept and then should be made mandatory (I would hope) for the winner of Simpson / Appleby for late 08.
