Don't miss this weekend's classic...

Post by bennie »

Dale Robinson against Jason Booth this Saturday at Huddersfield looks a sure-fire thriller. The classy and spiteful Booth has never lost to a British opponent, while Robinson, unbeaten and powerful, will be chomping at the bit in front of his home fans.
This one could be a classic.

The bookies have this one very close with Robinson the slight favourite, they're never far wrong.
I reckon Robinson might just have enough to edge out Booth on points. I hope so anyway!
Can't help but root for my fellow Yorkshireman.
Should be a good fight.

Bennie - I agree: it is an intriguing domestic match up. We know how good Booth is (decent European level operator) but Robinson has yet to find his level. I fancy the Robinson to be hungrier and to outwork Booth (I like Robinsons little right cross that he throws) but with no certainty. Be interested if anyone has strong views

I'd slightly favour Robinson, although Booth is a good fighter with some very nice skills, so it will be close. Should be an action packed fight, definitely one to watch.

The body punching alone will be worth the admission fee.
Unsurprisingly, the Huddersfield Leisure Centre is sold out.

I definitely favour 2-Smooth, he's highly unlikely to be affected by the away crowd and his excellent footwork was back in evidence last time out against Ntontela.

You can't touch the Booth brothers domestically!

A great domestic fight that I fancy Booth to just edge. Unfortunately, I have agreed to take the missus out. :( Will have to try and catch it Sunday and avoid the boards until I do.

I have seen most of the televised fights of both and I believe Dale will just be to sharp, but its undoubtetly a step into the unkown against a proven domestic champion.

Does Booth have a past history of cutting / swelling up? I can't seem to remember him cutting or swelling much, but if he does then I'd favour Robinson a bit more strongly - cause Booth is the easier to hit of the two.

I was leaning towards Booth in this one. Anyone who can give the excellent David Guerault such a battle has to be near world class.

But he's had a few tough fights over the years and Dale, who's also an excellent fighter, might be getting him on the down side.

Should be a war - I'll be cheering for Dale seeing as he's a regular on boxrec :D

Good luck mate!
