Hide and williams in spain

Post by funso banjo baby »

No idea who Hides opp is....

But williams is on the right hand side of the bill taking on an unbeaten German.

Airich has been in fairly deep for a novice (serin and mazikin) but should get bombed out by a pumped up danny, tuning up for his brit defence against blubber boy mcdermot. :box:

Which Heavyweights do you support funso? I used to think it was all British Heavyweights, but you don't seem to like McDonagh very much.

Is Williams being brought in to lose? Or is he expected to win?

I think the promoter of the event has bought him over to lose but the notion seems to be that he will be disappointed and Williams will win. Sometimes tough to tell with inexperienced but undefeated fighters tho.

unless williams is looking to treat this as a warm up for rounds..in which case a decision loss might be seen

but i think if danny lets his fist fly airich will be KO'd

as for the other question

its true mcdermot has always wound me up

hes too fat

and i never forgot his fight with Mark krence on sky...they showed about 6mins of the 10 rounder....and then the incredibly impartial Barry mcguigan said, 'from what we've seen there mcdermot clearly won the fight' !!!!!!!!! :o

john mcd was given a shot at Skelton and was thrown around like a rag doll for a pathetic 1st round surrender

in short hes a limited out of shape no hoper who will be KO'd by Danny

and hopefully disappear along with Carl Baker

Depends what williams shows up.... I'm worried about his inactivity... and he looked shakey at times in his last bout... took far too many shots and was very slow... personally I can see why someone would see him as ripe for the taking and match him with their unbeaten prospect....

Oener's a bit of a golden boy atm with all the talent under his roof and the comparatively risky we he matches up his fighters.

A draw with Mazakin seems to suggest a spot of iffyness for Airich, although then again can you see Danny getting a win on the basis of the workrate we could be looking at him putting in? Nah. Airich won't stop Danny, but can Danny stop Airich?

Disorderly's opponent should be rpetty easy. Never been stopped but has never been in with someone with Herbie's power. Interested to know what is planned for Herbie and when.

I think Dan's just being used as an opponent for up and coming Euro heavys, which isn't good. I certainly think he's got a future in boxing, and I for one would pick Danny to cause an upset against Samuel Peter if he was the surprise choice for the Nigerian's proposed bout in London in July (it's gonna be Harrison or Skelton probably).

But this fight in Spain is too risky.

This is Hides opponent http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?hu ... &cat=boxer not the best or moving him forward but his come back seems to be going okay under the radar, he needs to step up soon but would be good to see him against Fraggamenni or Rob Calloway or someone like that.

Can't see William's lasting past 3-4 in this one!

McDermott is limited and even a faded William's will expose this.

Not very often Herbert treads the long route. Was it a 12 rounder? Surely only Bigfoot Brown, or whatever you called him, has taken Hide the distance before?

"Mike Tyson-conqueror and former world title challenger Danny Williams (39-6, 31 KOs) scored a seventh round stoppage of previously unbeaten Konstantin Airich (9-1-1, 8 KOs) on Friday night at the Pabellón deportivo Asesarre-Barakaldo in Bilbao, Spain. Williams was deducted two points in round two for low blows in round two. Airich was credited with two knockdowns in round three as he battered Williams backward into the ropes. Williams was down again in the fourth. Williams was deducted another point in the fifth for hitting on the break, but then dropped Airich at the end of the round. Williams dropped Airich again in the sixth and was on the attack when the bell rang after about 90 seconds saving Airich. It was only a matter of time, however, and the bout was stopped in the seventh."

Gotta love when the bell rings too early.

I'll be able to get one when it surfaces (as most Arena-connected cards do). Probably in a few weeks time.

Sounds a bit on the lucky side - down 3 times, 3 point deductions. Looks like his world class (this aspect of his game undoubtedly is) power got him out of jail.

Now he might, just might, realise that he punch resistance is no better as a fat boy.
