One fight is hardly getting tied to a merry-go-round. How far is Skelton from the top 10, is he any less of a test than Rahman?

Will he get paid more for fighting any other heavyweight he is likely to be fighting in his next fight?

Skelton has beat Danny Williams twice and Michael Sprott twice. He would beat Audley and went 12 good rds with Chagaev.

He's hardly 'mired' in this cliched mythical merry go round too many people keep citing.

Hes our #1 British heavyweight based on results -- And he'll never lay back, shat his pants or have mental problems like Audley, Danny and Sprotty.

We know he comes to play & im amazed none of you seem to admire or appreciate that.

600k is nothing compared to what Haye could pull in promoting himself, at the o2 against a top ten Heavyweight(which is what he plans on doing!)

Would be interested to see the fight personally, and I could see Haye stopping Skelton.

Rahman would be the better fight for Haye, Skelton would be a boring fight but one that ultimately Haye will win.

Do people think Haye will be able to take his rediculously high KO rate up to HW? That would be a key thing in weather he would be seen to have a good performance against Skelton or not.

I believe his punch can carry up to heavyweight. I mean he's a natural 220lbs+ heavyweight and I believe he will punch a bit harder out there. He could well be the hardest p4p puncher at there at this moment in time - he apparentely smashes up massvie iron-chinned heavies in training as well.

I imagine Warren will want options and there is where the stumbling block will lie. Is this a comeback offer after the anooyance over Haye's Setanta deal? Or was it offered before that announcement?

Skelton's so dirty it's almost like watching Pepp-Saddler through a fish eye lens. But he get's away with it because of crooked referee's. Under those circumstances I think he'd ko Haye, properly officiated Haye probably would stop him but I can't see hat scenario coming about

You get the feeling Haye's going to carry his power up just fine but time will tell. The main advantage he's going to have is with his speed and technique he should be able to land flush power punches with far more regularity than all the other plodders.

If he lacks the power he had at Cruiser then he should be able to compensate with accumulative punches.

My wories are three fold on the power front, (1) he may lose some of his mobility with the weight (2) Heveyweights may be harder to KO at least the top HW will have developed better punch resistance (3) Recently he hasn't been as distructive as he was when he came out the Frag fight went 9 rounds which I thought was a little too long.

I don't know what I think about the above but they are certainly points worth discussion. I'm never sure how much to belive about what he does in sparing though I belive he has been sparing Audley and Danny since early days, does anyone know if he has spared Mat aswell?

He's not handing his career over to allegedly, and he doesn't want to take a step back with domestic level fighters, so Haye v Skelton is not going to happen.

McCall would be interesting, Maskaev would prove a lot of critics with Gomez would be a great fight, I'm never watching boxing again if it's Ruiz!!

Let's see, Gomez will be hard to deal with - would he even turn up to his own fight, I don't know; a liability to me - Arreola's fighting Witherspoon, Universum won't risk Dimitrenko, & McCall says he doesn't want to "fight these young guys anymore" after fighting Gomez.

Golota or Meehan would be ok. Also, if Haye has traded his belt in for a WBC rating at heavyweight, does he really have to fight a WBC top 12?

I don't think Golota is where its at he's 40 and really beating Kevin McBride doesn't equal a come back with all due respect to Kevin.

I think Maskaev would be the way to go if Rahman doesn't do it because he beat Rahman and is a seriouse contender. If Tua can fight a guy with a puls in the interum I would pay to see him against Haye, damn that would be exciting.
