Hopkins did 2 great things - holding onto the middleweight title and beating Trinidad. Trinidad would lead to a bit of a trend in that Hopkins beats smaller guys at the highest level. Greatness or great handicapping, making sure you fight smaller men?DG. wrote:jackthehat wrote:i think this DG. fella doesnt like Hatton very much, he lives on here pulling him down all day everyday. If Hatton boxes like he did the other night Bradley might beat him, but if the Hatton from old turns up he would probably knock Bradley out, Bradley was nothing special dont get carried away DG. he was good but was just a good technical boxer who stuck to his game plan against Witter who was never really world class anyway lets face it. Cotto would smash Hatton up but Cotto is a welterweight, how do you think Hatton would go on against Bernard Hopkins then DG.?
Well, Hatton weighs more than B-Hop put of the ring so its a fair contest!
Cotto is a Welter? so?
Hatton thinks nothing of lining up or fighting former flyweights ( Pacman) - Lightweights Diaz - Lazcano - pederson - Smith - Pep etc etc.
As B-Hop said ' To be great - you must do great things'
Hatton beating Tszyu was a great achievement - Tszyu was easily as good as Hopkins. OK Ricky's career hasn't gone how many ppl wanted it to, but he's looking to fight another title holder - hardly amazing, but adequate and - as they say - "it makes sense."
