I thought the all but forgoten Welshman looked back to his big punching best last week on Ringside.
He throws those punches with his full weight behind them, and it's going to give plenty of middleweights big trouble.
I really hope he gets the Farnell fight. I can't see The Warrior living with him for long if it comes off.
But with Lockett you can't be too sure. He still looks open to counters - I really think he needs a better trainer and learns to duck a few.
Still, I think he can send a few shockwaves through the UK 160 pound division before the end of 2004.

With someone like Lockett it's difficult to say if he's back on course or not.
Yes he won in fine style (he looked very good once he had the Albanian hurt), but there was still no noticeable improvement in head movement, and overall his defense looked leaky.
Even in such a short fight he was beginning to mark up, and i'm concerned that if Farnell can take him into the later rounds that's going to a major problem for Lockett.
Should an exciting fight if he's matched with Farnell.

I think your spot on, he markes up really badly so if he gets in with someone with a good jab he would almost definatly get stopped on cuts, he is a cracking finisher but looks jaded if the fight is not going his way.glittermonkey wrote:With someone like Lockett it's difficult to say if he's back on course or not.
