You mean guys like Mundine who wont fight the real fights out there like Kessler shouldnt be in the sport.

Soliman showed no reason to get a rematch and for Mundine to onlt beat him by 4 rounds on the cards is a joke.

So just to make sure we are on the same page here, an honest, old school, working class prizefighter like Soliman, who has taken hard fights at short notice and travelled internationally to take fights shouldn't be in this sport but someone like Mundine, who rapes every ounce of credibility Australian boxing has left should be?

Did u see the crowed? Im sure if you took away all the AFL/Rugby/League/Crims&Thugs/SportStars - There would have only been around 600 people there to watch it live If that....I left after the 8 round so i didnt get to see it all, Oh well Soliman gets his payday (Not worthy).

well i was bored and despite sayin i wouldnt ,went and watched. predictable result but a fair one. not sure how Sam thought he won. though Sam did spoil very well for most of the fight honestly thought Mundine despite chasing him could of let his hands go alot more ie if he wanted to Ko him he couuld of.But no way did Sam win. Still-he gave what he could and that is a mark of a real fighter.Took a few heavy shots, was clearly knackered but gave it a go.

I will say at least Mundine showed an ounce of humility in victory. Was pleased Briggs had a crack at the standard of his opposition in his last few fights.Still pisses me off how it kept being referred to as THE WBA world title not the INTERIM title. ANd the interviews with mundine-good grief.Always bad but the bullshit about not fighting Kessler coz of no interest/not viable blah blah blah-more like i know i cant win and so dont wanna fight him.ANd the Calzaghe stuff. Well i guess the nuthuggers like Jaafar buy into it. Deluded souls they are.

Anyway will be interesting to see what eventuates now. No doubt will have to sit through another year of crap warm up fights against people my sister could beat(but of course they will be the biggest names in boxing......yeah right.)Guess we could all get a shock...unlikely.

Greeny looked well and content. Pretty sure whatever bait Khoder was offering wasnt taken.

On the positives at least i am damn sure there will be no 4th episode.Hope sam watches the fight and realises he lost, gets over it and gets on with his career(whats left of it).Good on ya Sam. You are a champion just accept the loss,as bitter a pill as it may be to swallow.I hope theres some good fights at middleweight left for him.Would like it if he got to the point of having a crack at a title in his own weight range again,as unlikely as it may be. Good on ya Sam.,

Sam won the fight.....simple,.
I thought SS won by 2 rnds. Choc did nothing to deserve the win bar a good right in the 8th (I think). We go back to the argument of BHOP v JC. Effective v active and Choc was neither....ripped off Sam. And when is a Mundine fight going to have non bias commentators........

The only pants I want to see Nina in are hot pants. Danny fought in his career with courage and conviction, retiring on top. If that makes him seem weak in your eyes, then get some glasses. Sam tried something different and although he frustrated Mundine, he didn't do enough to win the fight. Mundine kept moving forward, landed the more telling blows and looked the more complete boxer. I thought he won 8 round to 4. If you subscribe to the total of number of punches landed = winner theory (like espn's compubox) then Soli won. I don't subscribe to that theory.

there is no need for him to, and if he can see no point financially in fight Kessler, then there is less point in fighting Bika. Anyway it's would be a risk Mundine would never take.

Bika went the distance with Calzaghe and caused him some problems. If Mundine fought him you would have some sort of guide.

Styles make fights and Bika style is totally different to mundine, mundine would give Joe a tough time due to his speed but his lack of experience against good fighters and lack of confidence in his ability would mean Joe would win it.

Re Soliman fight, Sam is a good honest fighter nothing flash who caught Winky Wright with the flu (I believe) and due to Wright not being up to his usual game Sam looked much better and gained a great deal of credit for that win, but in short it took mundine 4 rounds last time and this time he could not stop the smaller man and it would appear the figt was close so if anything we have two fighters who have regressed signifiatntly since their first fight.

yeah i do think choc won amwsnw. Not a great victory but considering he is the "title holder" sam just didnt do enough aside from spoiling.choc chased him for most of the fight and sam was reluctant to let his hands go.he did frustrate mundine thats for sure but that does not win a fight. thought quite a few rounds were very close but in the end if your trying to take the title(excuse me-interim title) you gotta do more than sam did. think choc did get tin quite a few good short counters.Neither fighter really let their hands go.as someones already said-choc is too scared to take a few to land a few. if choc fights with the hesitation to really let fly then top calibre opponents will always win.u cant win fights on defence alone.
thought chocs defence was pretty good though.and sam just did not have the power when he landed to hurt him.

not sure if youu were suggesting i suggested Green lacked courage etc toppity. Certainly not. got the feeling in a ring again at an event things were certainly ticking in greens mind. would love to see him fight again and vs mundine(at light heavy).

finally those slow motion camera shots are BLOODY amazing. never knew ears were so mobile. reckon shows how much power pro fighters have coz shit is just going everywhere.

but sam landed more punches technically he shoulda scored more points than mundine. and his work rate was alot higher he should be rewarded for that.
