Hide Opponent Change?

Post by steve689 »

I hear that Lithuanian Mendauga Kulikauskas is now due to face Herbie Hide instead of Brazilian Rogerio Lobo. Kulikauskas floored Roman Greenberg before losing in the fifth, held Welsh prospect Scott Gammar to a draw and also extended John McDermott, Dennis Bakhtov and recently Mark Krence to eventual points loss decisions. He stopped unbeaten Finnish fighter Sami Elovaara in Finland and was stopped by Danny Watts and Albert Sosnowski. So after eleven fights he has reasonable experience, enough to trouble Hide? Doubt it but possibly a step up from Lobo perhaps?

I hope this fight never happens, Hide V Francis. Francis should retire and one good punch to take out Hide would reignite his career again and make him carry on. No thanks :D

i think Hide would stop Julius fairly quick, look impressive against Skelton's decision win.

Match makers do that a lot, try to make their fighter win better against a rivial fighter better

Joe Calzaghe did that against sven ottke oppenets, thou it never paid off (to get a fight with ottke)

HERBIE HIDE WINS KO1 Mendauga Kulikauskas

I think Herbie will put in a sensational performance against this solid pro than go on to demolish that rat Danny williams!

We don't care about second-rater's like Sprott, Williams and Skelton

Kulikauskas was a very awkward customer for Mark Krence, who was apparently weakened by flu though. He is the type of customer that could get to Herbie...or allow Herbie to look impressive. Oh, I realise I've just described 90% of the world's heavys!
