is the boxrec database sql query-able? (purely read-only).
has it ever been, or are there any plans to make it so?

Not really 1 query in particular no mate, was thinking for stuff like analysing fighter records.. drilling down into (for example) fighter X's 34-0-1 record and compiling a summary W-L-D stat for the 35 opponents, etc.. or even simple stuff, How many world champs are from my hometown etc.
I understand the prospect of public access to the data you guys work so hard to maintain isn't exactly an appealing one, but it would be cool (purely from a self-amusement point-of-view) to have an area where we could run these kind of queries now & again. But as I say, also completely understandable if you'd rather not

There are definitely security concerns... not to mention the potential stress on the server, especially from those who don't know how to write queries.
