British lightweight champion Graham Earl pulled out of his mandatory defence against Bobby Vanzie in Edinburgh on March 27 due to an alleged bout of 'flu.
Now Earl is back in training for the fight that has been rescheduled to...JULY.
This is purely designed to mess Vanzie around. The Bradford southpaw turned up late for his last meeting with Earl at Dagenham, forcing the show's schedule to be rearranged. Sports Network then dropped Vanzie after the show claiming he hadn't sold one ticket.
Much to Sports Network's dismay, Vanzie was then made mandatory challenger to Earl and the runaround commenced.
Vanzie getting the real runaround...
I saw Yuri Romanov beat up Vanzie and i wondered how much he had left, does he really need this sport anymore? What will a rematch between the close to finished Vanzie and the ordinary Earl prove? Vanzie won the first match and i expect he will win the second fight but whether he gets the decision is another matter. I would expect Jason Cook to beat both of these guys though if they fought, which they should seen as they all fight on the network.
