He's ok. His dad wouldn't let him turnpro until he'd graduated from university, something like that.

The thing with Ronald is, he's been matched very safely in case anything goes wrong, and will wait out a title shot which will be asemi big event due to his name.

Manny Steward thinks it's bad news him making 154 with his frame. I think he'll fall to pieces under pressure despite him being well co-ordinated and rangy.

Hearns' last fight vs Astoraga says it all really. He was dominating all the way, landing full blooded shots but couldn't put his man away until very late.

He can be in decent fights - would love to see him vs Chavez Jr to determine a world title shot - but I won't expect too much of him given that he turned pro after his prime years.

I can only see this fight happening if Jamie wins the Euro, and Ryan forces himself into a mandatory challenger position - which could be some time off.
Thats regardless of the Promotional diffculties.
Logic says Pryce v Rhodes but again I can't see this happening now.
I think fighting Portman is poor and Pryce's part.
Maybe he will vacate soon, and fight for a World bable of sorts.

How about Rhodes v Pryce? British champ vs Commomnwealth, new school of promoter vs the old guard.

Can Haye do a double in beating an Enzo Calzaghe fighter? I'll bet Haye would relish that if Rhodes keeps on doing well.

Autobarn,
Of course it makes sense but as I've said in my earlier post, given the Promotional difficulties, I see this as a non starter now.
Does anyone know if there is a mandatory challenger for Rhodes to deal with ?

I hope that Haye and Hatton are willing to put their fighters in with guys from rival promoters.

Otherwise there will be one real downside, in that there will be too many promoters.

I think there'll be more competition between promoters now. Gone are the days when Warren will get the cushy TV deals tucked away on one channel.

Autobarn,
There will be no problem from the new kids on the block, so to speak, but I really cant see Wazza for instance working with them in any capacity, unless absolutuely forced to.

It was only a month ago that 26 assured us that Rhodes was promoted by Warren.
When I pointed out he had not promoted him for 2 years, I was told to "stop being an arse"
