Nah, he'll be fine. He was out pointed but was well under par against Peret, no excuse, Scott messed up before that fight and has learnt a valuable lesson, one that it was probably better to learn early on rather than before a title fight in years to come.

Belshaw has knuckled down and is training hard and away sprring with some top lads.

Scott should walk this fight.

PS - sorry I missed this post or I would have replied sooner.

Scott Belshaw is to slow to make it in the heavyweight divs. Even at British Title. Maloney has be very quite on him since his lost. Who he sparring with and who training him now I bet there no money being put into him now, So much for Maloney (little legs) saying he could be the white Foreman who he kidding himself.

Belshaw is young still for a HW only 22 YO and comming along slowly.

He is currently sparring with McDerrmot and Skelton.

Scott will be heading to a summer camp in the USA for some training, so there is money being spent on him.

Maloney always said from the start that Scott would be taken very slowly, he just impressed so many people in his first few fights with the quick fire KO's but the interest has died down a little since he started getting rounds under his belt.

Tomorrow night should be a good test for Scott, and he will head off to the USA for the summer and hopefully come back having learnt alot.

Looking forward to Belshaw fighting Kalnars tomorrow night. Hopefully a quickfire KO and Scott will be back in business. Also, Willie Thompson and Luke Wilton are promising fighters on the bill and maybe Lee Murtagh will get a knockout and send us all home happy  :TU:

Due to injury Lee has had to cancel his fight, though expect him on the next Belfast Promotions bill.

Belshaw is out to make a statement and a comeback

Thompson is looking to impress promoter Maloney

And Wilton is out to please the crowd and doesnt really care about Maloney being there, to him it is fight and all fights are the same , he always fights at his best wether promoters are watching or not. Expect another crackin fight from the young Bantamweight fighter.

Door open at 7-30pm first fight 8-30pm sharp.

Yes you can pay on the door but if you do so you will not get a seat, we expect all tickets to be gone by opening time and therefore only standing space availible, head down for 7-30pm to get a seat, if you want I'll pm you my number and you can txt me when your there I'll sort you out with a seat if I can, I'll be there from about 6pm anyway (only away from the venue there now)

Directions - Shorts Rec Club is on the Holywood Rd just before the junction with the M3 to Holywood and Bangor, it is nearly facing Ashfield High School and beside the danny Blanchflower playing fields.

I'll see if I can find you a map now.

If you copy and paste the link to the map the Shorts club is umm inside the square that if you look at the map on the left middle there is like a PF written by 2 roads, the shorts club in is the centre of the P the road runs right round the club. I know not great dirrections sorry

What now for the big Irish man, This win prove nothing, I was there still very slow and no timing,Please do not let us read that he is going tobe a champion. Is he better than McBride ? or is he just a McBride double when he has someone who can move and box a little he is losted.

Well done Scott. The loss has made him better, so it seems.
