McIntyre has pulled out again. Hope he gets better soon he's had the back problem since April when he had to pull out of the Arthur v Guzman bill.

However, if this report is accurate the rest of the bill is going ahead.

The bill goes ahead, and frantic moves are underway to get Ezekiel an opponent.

I really feel for Ezekiel.
I understand the board are to meet to consider McIntyre's request for an extension to make the fight and give him time to recover from his back injury.
I've lived through a boxer's life with a nasty back injury, and the road to recovery is slow and laborious.
Ryan's doubters led to him facing Lockett too early in my humble opinion, but he got sick of everyone doubting his injury was genuine.
Whilst it affects Ezekiel, who I desperately want to see win this title, I hope Kevin isn't railroaded into coming back too quickly to quell the doubters.
Surely a deal could be struck for him to vacate, but to be guarenteed to be the opponent in the first defence ?

No offence was taken Ian nor would it have been even had I not noticed the smiley.

You have now quoted your source so even S.N. are off the hook in my book, for giving us a reasonably early alert.

It does get very frustrating though when the people in the know don't keep the fee paying boxing enthusiasts informed. After all they are the people who put the money into the promoter's pockets, but time and again they feel that they are being treated as unimportant and with comtempt.

I have booked my hotel and received my train tickets for the second time now. Fortunately, I managed, after a bit of argument, to get my money refunded for the Edinburgh cancellation and here we go again.

On a personal note I enjoy your articles and find them very informative, keep up the good work and thanks for the news.

One has to feel sorry for McIntyre after his Title fight and brilliant defence against a tough opponent but how long can we wait?

The latest problem is a recurrence, not a continuation, of a previous injury and we know from other sports, particularly cricket, how long people like Freddie Flintoff and others take to recover, particularly from a back injury.

I was out of sport for 9 months for the same reason. Back injuries are a b*****d and I only had to sneeze once I thought it was better and that was another 2 months.

It should be well within everyone concerned's ability to make McIntyre the mandatory challenger for whoever holds the belt once he is fit, however long it takes, he deserves that consideration.

One has to feel sorry for both Kell and Kevin, surely common sense will prevail and not politics.
