Sprott v Bidenko IR

Post by jomothepure »

Is this on TV at all, or stream?

Chances of Sproutty pulling off a British treble on foreign soil? Pretty slim I'm afraid I'd say. Even taking into account the fact Sprott seems much better when the pressure is off, Bidenko is far handier than the likes of Dettweiler. Wide UD for Bidenko for my money. Anyone dare to be more optimistic?

Any idea what weight Sprott is? i'd have confidence in him pulling off the win if he's in shape.

Taras Bidenko defeated Michael Sprott today by UD (97-93, 97-93, and 97-94).

Someone on ESB who says he watched the fight said Sprott was jobbed and the crowd booed the decision.

I just saw that post on ESB - that guy is always assumes stuff like that about fights in Germany, and he very likely didn't see the fight.

There are some serious Euro-bashers on ESB, that's why as a Canadian of Ukrainian heritage, I rarely post there anymore.

Someone was actually there said Bidenko clearly won. So it was a fair decision, he didn't say anything about the crowd booing. I'll post a video if I can find one.

Spoke with a German friend last night and, whilst he and I have "disagreed" (to put it mildly) over his support for the concept of the home decision in the past, he wouldn't stretch that to a fighter fighting out of Germany. Anywya, his assessment was that the scores were perhaps a round or two too wide, but that Bidenko definiely had the better of the bout.

we know for a fact that the scoring in Germany is completly corrupt

every country will err on the side of the boxer with links to the country

but time and time again we see fighters dominating fights in germany onlty to lose...THIS IS CRAP

i havent seen the bidenko fight yet

Im with you on that one. Reading esb the last few days Im unsure if there are many in the Brit forum with a mental age of highter than 4, most are a bunch of chavs who are just annoyed at foreigners because they think they have 'nicked jobs' off them. Its as if they haven't seen a controversial decision in their lives. I think this chap also said the other day that he saw the Williams fight and that Danny didnt hit the guy low once and that they were body shots, now I watched the fight on youtube and I quite clearly saw Danny hit low, ok he shouldnt have points taken off to that extreme but still its the opposite extreme to say he didnt hit low when he clearly did.

Does my head in, that place, I tell thee.
