I think that Bowe should be in...He only had one loss in his career

I do not know what happened in his career, but he should have done much more.

There are less deserving fighters in the HOF than Bowe, and Bowe probably will get in someday.

But in reality, Bowe isn't a genuine HOF worthy athlete. He only had a brief "prime", and even within that, he was somewhat inconsistent. He only beat one real quality fighter (though granted, one of the greatest fighters ever IMO) and he beat him 2 out of 3. But is SOLELY having another fighter's number (even a great one's) enough to put a fighter in the HOF? I don't believe so.

For that reason, I think Ken Norton is a very questionable inductee, as is Randy Turpin. Turpin in particular is similar to Bowe in that he is remembered especially for his series of fights against one great fighter, and also had a brief prime in which he achieved greatness only in spots. Both Turpin and Bowe are often rated on what they had the potential to be, rather than what they actually were.

Bowe shouldn't be allowed near the HOF never mind in it. Remember when he binned the WBC belt rather than fight his #1 contender?

If so..he was all of those things. Even if brief.

Benjamin Brain is in it isnt he ?
Exactly. He definitely deserves a spot. On a prime-4-prime head-2-head basis, he could be one of the best HWs ever as well.

I hereby nominate Steve Farhood as the #3 worst boxing historian of all time, being edged only by my nephew Mark - who'll only eat breakfast with his helmet on - and me.

throwing away the belt instead of facing Lewis is a huge blotch on his career but obviously the holyfield trilogy is whats keeping him in limbo from hall of famer to a forgotten champ. imo he should be in as he was a very formidable fighter in the early 90s. He is also part ofboxing history as a former undisputed champ

Don't know about Bowe being in the HOF but Fan-Man defintiely should be, if he isn't already...
