Your early lengthy post was spot on, Autobarn.

You're so right about the media too...as I challenge people to regularly do, go and find a newspaper article that is negative to SN. You'll struggle to do so. Editors just don't want the grief and journos want their press passes. Maybe by Niall Hickman because Warren got his Hatton biog pulped.

BBN tries to call things as we see it...and that's why we aren't allowed press accreditation for SN shows. Thing is, we praise them and their fighters when called for the same as anyone. We're fine with everyone else. If John Rawling did say that, it's very poor judgement, in my view.

He talks a good day the more I read the more I'm excited about his advent at HW, Rahman is ranked top 10 by WBC Max
Bonin was ranked No 12 by the WBC when they fought him too.

Stylewise Rahman Is made for Haye.

Lets see what Haye delivers first, he's backed up all his words so far in the ring, but now he's getting seriously into the business side of things, he may find out its dangerous to swim with all those sharks.

Just hope he has a good legal team around him, i'm sure he should have.

Haye is great for british boxing. He might be outspoken, but he's also willing to admit his weaknesses. He's a breath of fresh air.... I'm a little concerned about whether he's big enough for the new breed of huge heavies though...

Very funny... but just hope he backs all his talk up like he did against Mormeck and Macca when he does get in with a half-decent heavyweight, because the last guy he bashed up at heavy was very average.

Let's see what he's like after a few rounds against a solid juggernaut who doesn't fall over first time he gets clocked.

I'm sure he can be a big hit, but now's the time for him to prove it. Sticks and stones and all that.

allegedly...reminds me of the young girls that used to follow me around in nightclubs – only with beadier eyes, redder cheeks and deeper pockets.
Now that is good.....Haye should be saluted....wait for Allegedly's two bob retort in his Sun column next week. HE hasn't got a leg to stand on and his attempts at a retort will be risible.

I actually love Haye, he's basically everything we love in a boxer - he's smart, talented and gives the public what they want. It's good enough that he went to Mormeck's backyard and won and unified against Enzo but to wind-up Fwanky Boy tops it off.

I get the feeling if Calzaghe had Haye's attitude he'd have gone to Germany for a fight with Sven Ottke...

The press are far too easy on Warren which I think causes some of the extremeness of the anti Warren rhetoric on this board.. warren does a good job for his fighters and puts together some good shows but fans who follow the sport closely get frustrated when the press talk up shows that are not any good Calzaghe Manfrado anyone.

I'd quite like to see some of the bigger names in boxing journalism call Warrens' shows shit (bunce rawling, abrams et al) and then Ian and his comrades may not be so stigmatised.

Haye is hilarious.... that's quality, and bang on.

Even if it all goes wrong at heavyweight, I'll still have a massive amount of respect for his acheivements and the way he's gone about his business. He's absolutely quality..... and just what british boxing needs.

I didn't realise Claude got his press credentials taken from him, how did Warren justify that?

I worked in politics for a while and you find that loyal journalists got more scoops and interviews (which is why Labour leak things to the guardian and the tories leak things to the telegraph) and sometimes they would get left out in the cold for a while but the main parties knew that they needed the main papers too and if they through there weight around too much then the papers would recipricate (as happened to alister campbell at the end).

Ottke's own trainer even admitted In boxing monthly when he and the other German trainer were Interviewed that Sven prefered to keep his IBF title rather than face Calzaghe.

Would Haye even go to Germany to fight Ottke If he could get warned for a jab like Reid did?

Well he went to France where there were rumers on 90 second rounds so I guess he would, the thing is I always got the feeling with Ottke and Calzaghe they were both reasonably happy not to fight one another. There is "trying to make a fight" and "trying to make a fight"

I just want to know who Haye's opponent is going to be.
I know we won't find out for a while, but Rahman has now signed to fight Toney in July, so does that rule them both out?

Golota could be fighting Peter, i kid you not.

And do you think that whoever Haye tries to get in the opposite corner will price themselves out of it.

I think the opposit I think it makes the winner a really credible opponent for Haye Mooted Novemeber come back as they will have had a recent win at a high level. I think Rahman has said as much.

Yeah good point, as long as one of the governing bodies don't dress the Rahman v Toney fight up as a eliminator, otherwise the winner wouldn't chance a fight with Haye

I like to watch David Haye because his fights are exciting and so far barring one blip he has done extremely well. I just hope he can back his words up when he fights the really heavy guys in the HW division. I didnt like his comments about Matt Skelton who I believe has done very well for himself with no amateur experiance. OK his fights are not pretty but he gives his all and shows no fear, unlike another British HW who we all know the name of, so I wont say it. I actually found it quite funny that Haye took the piss out of Skelton because of his age, bearing in mind his only loss was against a man over forty. Glad Haye did stand up to FW, a bit of competition is a good thing, monopolies are not, and FW has had the lions share for too long now. Hayemaker promotions is currently all about one fighter but who knows it could grow.

I think it's funny how at least 3 papers implied that Haye should/would work with allegedly again. The writers are either just on Warren's side for reasons you outline, or else just resigned to the idea that the 02 Arena was locked up in some exclusive contract with Frank.

It's hilarious (and great for boxing) that Haye can make his own arrangements to fight at the 02. It's as if, you have to fight for Frank to even get near somewhere like the 02 or Manchester's MEN. I think too many of us have been conditioned to think the worst.

In his own way, David Haye is gunning for greatness - on his quest for the heavyweight titles and going up against the system as a promoter.

Some of the lesser stuff Warren sometimes puts on has left the market open for someone like Haye, who wants to take talented fighters to fulfil their true potential.

interesting bit on Dave Coldwell here, and where some of the other boxers are tied up as regards Warren etc.

For some reason i thoughr Dave Coldwell was white and a big lad, who have i got him mixed up with?

Perhaps a reference to the printed article would be helpful. I can find nowhere that John Rawling said this
