nas hammed
Just watched the doc on nas on espn classic, didnt know that it went so into religion, that it went into it outside the ring eg him getting a hair cut , how vain is the man, surely that close to a fight he should be concetrating on his opponent and not his hair and for anyone who has seen this doc, wtf was the story about the gloves, obviosly the mind games didnt work, The better boxer won it ?

Is it little prince big fight?
I think that was him at the hight of his arrogance and loss of touch with reality... really a massive shame he never came back from his loss.

Yes it ws that pity, nas is speaking of a comeback, do you think this will happen or is i just BS. He would have to train hard and forget the histrionics and just fight.josh fg wrote:Is it little prince big fight?

I think he's about 50lb over his fighting weight and has been out too long.metropol wrote:Yes it ws that pity, nas is speaking of a comeback, do you think this will happen or is i just BS. Re: nas hammed
Wasn't it that he insisted on one brand and his opponent insisted on another brand? I was wondering, recently, why differing gloves is no longer an issue. Has there been a rule change or was it in Hamed's contract to wear a specific brand (like Khan with RBK)?metropol wrote:wtf was the story about the gloves, obviosly the mind games didnt work, The better boxer won it ?
Re: nas hammed
Nas had the best ring entrances ever..having an Islamic chant as an intro then bursting out with some "hardcore" hip hop alas Black Rob's "WOAH" song was crazy!! Then he knocked the crap oput of Augie Sanchez!

Re: nas hammed
the deal with the gloves was naz had a green reyes set of gloves made out of goats skin and barrera picked yellow reyes gloves the gloves r then given to the las vegas athletic commision to check and the champ picks his gloves first which was naz everyone thought he would pick the green ones leaving barrera his yellow gloves no problem but because naz picked barreras gloves that started an argument so they scrapped the glove chossing and just got normal red reyes gloves for both fighters/fighters can sign contracts with glove manufactures like khan and reebok or wat gloves they have to wear are written in the fight contract like morrales v pacquio 2 both had to wear winning gloves and de la hoya v mayweather both had to wear reyes

Well he did stink the place out against Manuel Calvo. One of the worst fights I've ever seen.josh fg wrote:Is it little prince big fight?

Wasn't it something to do with wanting to humiliate Barrera by knocking him out with his own gloves or something like that.prettygoldenboy wrote:the deal with the gloves was naz had a green reyes set of gloves made out of goats skin and barrera picked yellow reyes gloves the gloves r then given to the las vegas athletic commision to check and the champ picks his gloves first which was naz everyone thought he would pick the green ones leaving barrera his yellow gloves no problem but because naz picked barreras gloves that started an argument so they scrapped the glove chossing and just got normal red reyes gloves for both fighters/fighters can sign contracts with glove manufactures like khan and reebok or wat gloves they have to wear are written in the fight contract like morrales v pacquio 2 both had to wear winning gloves and de la hoya v mayweather both had to wear reyes

I think he wanted Green gloves originally as Green was the colour of Islam? maybe I am way off mark here, but its what I seem to remember.split_decision wrote:Well he did stink the place out against Manuel Calvo. One of the worst fights I've ever seen.josh fg wrote:Is it little prince big fight?
