Petrucci vs Sinclair.

Post by stujones »

Well Daniele Petrucci, who recently stopped the reigning Commonwealth Welter champion Craig Watson, is making his second defence of his EBU-EU title against Neil Sinclair on Saturday - again in Italy.

Does Sinko have anything other than a punchers chance?

I'm not sure he even has that to be honest, been a while since Sinclair was knocking people over.
Very poor match up

Hard to make a case for Sinclair , apart from getting in with a big punch.
Petrucci proved he's good by stopping Watson, i have a feeling it could be the same result on Saturday.
I've only seen clips of Petrucci , and he's good without being spectacular. not sure he'll go any further than Euro level.

Well I have to say, first time I have ever thought that, but I was very impressed with the way Watson handled Matthew Hatton (who really dissapointed). He looked solid and might even progress to fringe European level... and its sounds like, although a short notice job, that Petrucci dominated Watson.

The way he imploded against Jerome Ellis and Francis Jones worries me. Sinclair was at the Irish Supporters Club meeting the other night (sporting two black eyes from sparring!) and he said he had seen Petrucci's fights and was impressed. There should be a sopcast around somewhere, so we may be able to see it.

I like Sinky, he is a top fella but i just invisage the 5th or so round, under some sustained punishment Sinclair taking a knee, shaking his head and sitting out the count.

Sinclar lost on points 115 112 (twice) and 117 113. Not a bad show considering what Petrucci did to Craig Watson.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see if Sinclair actually should have got this decision - based on Lynes vs Branco... 115-112 could really mean a Sinclair win.
