Thinking about it, Meehan has KO1 written all over it and Haye needs rounds at the new weight.

Golota is strong with decent variety but mentally weak. Could be an ok introduction to heavyweight. Don't think Rahman-Toney is set in stone and no doubt Hasim can be persuaded by a payday.

Not really sure why Haye is shitkicking and not getting right down to business. He could be having his first Heavyweight fight in a month or two, he said he wanted time to grow into the weight properly but he's already a 220lbs guy boiling down to Cruiser I fail to see why he can't get right to it.

I don't know I would rather he fought quicker but I would like him to take a fight to aclimatise at the weight I guess he wants to be comfortable at the weight if he is to fight a dangerouse opponent!

rahman looks the best bet.

ranked at 4.

although wladimir doesn't hold the wbc version so it don't really matter in that respect.

i wouldn't pick someone like mccall or toney.

2 guys ya never gonna stop.

even a puncher like haye ain't stopping those guys.

u want a KO. :box:

Looks like Rahman Is fighting Toney so who else can Haye fight just Incase?
wbc top 11

1 .- Vladimir Virchis (Ukraine) EBU
2 .- Juan Carlos Gomez (Cuba) INTL
3 .- John Ruiz (P. Rico)
4 .- Hasim Rahman (US) NABF
5 .- Alexander Dimitrenko (Ukraine)
6 .- Oleg Maskaev (Kazakhstan)
7 .- Chris Arreola (US) AMERICA
8 .- Andrew Golota (Poland)
9 .- Kali Meehan (New Zealand)
10 .- Donnell Holmes (US)
11 .- Oliver McCall (US)

McCall would be interesting, Maskaev would prove a lot of critics with Gomez would be a great fight, I'm never watching boxing again if it's Ruiz!!

If Rahman wins vs Toney he will be a much more credible opponent weardly enough I think.
Ruiz has Inside fighting and lotta holding, could spoil and beat Haye so he will be left out.

Why is he trying to rush this, very foolish imo. He should not neccessarily be headline act if this was being done sensibly, few warm up fight then eurro title best route this could happen by xmas if he had fight in July

Cant we have the legendary Danny Williams v Peter?

Williams uppercut would dent Peter way more than McClines...
Would love to see that fight - I doubt Danny would win, but if he turned up in shape he'd have a real live chance!

Danny always has a chance against anyone!

Particularly Peter. I'd give him much less chance against a Chagaev or Klitschko.

Dispite my facisiouse comment earlier the one interesting thing about ruiz would to see how haye responded to being wrestled by a naturally bigger man.

i'm not so sure haye could withstand meehans power, as opposed to meehan handling hayes. meehan has some handy ko's for memory.

i think meehan is someone that haye should fight first up if he is fair dinkum about being a heavyweight.

Not sure how much gain there is in that fight as Meehan was destroyed by Danny Williams.

well it's just that i don't think that haye would fight danny williams.
besides it was 7 years ago, it was meehan's 1st loss and the next fight after that that he lost should have been a world title victory. so he's no punk, he is a credible challenger for haye without throwing him straight in with klitschko and co.

It's gotta sell well to the British public. Fighting a guy best known for getting blasted by Danny Williams doesn't help Haye prove to people he is above domestic level.

Meehan does have a good win over Williamson, but it also wasn't that long ago he was beaten fairly quickly by Rahman and although he could have got the verdict in the sparring session with Brewster, he didn't. Doesn't really bring anything to the table.

Thing with Meehan is he is ranked really well by all the bodies. Gomez I think is heavyweight boxings best kept secret, bar a bit of a freak loss his results are really good and Id back him to take Sam Peter to the cleaners (maybe not a KO but he would box his head off.)

In terms of filling the O2 its much easier to sell the Rahman fight...

The former world champion world No. 2 who beat Lennox Lewis sounds pretty credible and a pretty dangerouse opponent.

I can't see how Evander would fit into Hayes breakneck speed World domination plan.

As Haye says he's "not in the habit of giving out pensions"

The Lennox Lewis angle with Rahman certainly makes him a mega-attractive opponent for Haye. The general public knowing of Rahman would shift so many more tickets as would the footage of Lewis-Rahman in the build up.

Haye should push hard for this fight imo.

Danny is too easy to hit, and these days way to vulnerable when he is tagged.

He needs to stay away from Gomez. Talk about a diamond in the rough, Gomez was the heir apparent not so long ago and I dont fancy seeing him getting a leg up at Haye's expense. He has a great chin to boot, the first round loss was an anomaly of his own making.

Looking at those names, Rahman really is the best risk/reward fight for Haye.

He's got more than a decent chance against the lot of them, Gomez included, but you cant help but feel that the rocky points in his career and the law of averages will catch up with his good run sooner rather than later. He's going to have to be 100% for every fight from this point on because there's a horde of jealous c*nts out there just waiting for him to fu*k up.

Rahman's style Is made for Haye, works off the jab using his long arms.

Haye uses his head movement and blasts through with a right over Rahman's shaky chin.
