I owe Bunce an appology..... sorry Steve, if you are reading. Reports in most websites did cite the injury as the reason why Duddy vs Pavlik was scrapped.
Seems like John is fighting at the end of the month.

So much for Duddy's cut stopping the Pavlik fight.
Re: So much for Duddy's cut stopping the Pavlik fight.
That's just over 20 days from now though, and Duddy probably needs more time to prepare for Pavlik than to prepare for Charles Howe.

Yes, but the Duddy camp were saying he would definately be back to face Pavlik in the late summer and it seemed like the Pavlik camp didn't mind to wait - so when all of a sudden the Lockett fight was announced - I assumed Duddy wouldn't be back till later.Asterix wrote:That's just over 20 days from now though, and Duddy probably needs more time to prepare for Pavlik than to prepare for Charles Howe.
I don't know if its had time to heal - Howe could open it up again!

pavlik-duddy would have been a better fight tbh.
least duddy would have gone down swinging.

Duddy more deserving, I'm not saying Duddy is better than Lockett - but at least his best Middleweight win is Howard Eastman, not his brother Gilbert.
