Unfortunately, I think he will run out. He has a record label that's losing money, spends too much money on jewelry (when I went to the DLH fiight he was in Chanel with a brown bag full of around $200k buying stuff) and he hires someone to stand in front of a safe to guard his best diamonds. These are just a few examples. There are countless others (like the Judah stunt he pulled last year)
I didn't believe him the first time when he said he'd retire. I believe him now. I think he'l do a Leonard and come back in a few years when his reflexes have dulled. I hope not.
It's a shame he didn't fight Cotto to cement his legacy as a contender for top 10 G.O.A.T.

I'm pretty disapointed if Mayweather is retiring although I noticed that he'd started to slow in the last 3 years. I hope its a negotiating tactic and hes back in the ring in 2008. The Delahoya and Hatton fights looked DEAD SET as could be and he retired before to get more money from Oscar. Hes also talked how he could fight till hes late 30s (I think)

In fact, Mayweather is the Sugar Ray Leonard of the 21st century: retired until someone offers him big money to take on someone who he thinks isn't a massive risk.

Someone in the current scene said that Mayweather would be promoting in the UFC, not fighting. The title of the topic was a bit misleading in that most people would assume he was signing to fight.

Someone in the current scene said that Mayweather would be promoting in the UFC, not fighting. The title of the topic was a bit misleading in that most people would assume he was signing to fight.
God, I hope so. He'd be a numpty to attempt to tackle the Lightweights, or even the Featherweights of WEC. That said, I can't see him staying out of the sportlight is some form, whether it's boxing, MMA or Wrestling.
