ODH Vs Hatton in September?

Post by jammidodger »

Apparently Hatton has turned down the opportunity to fight ODH in september according to sky sports news..

Would have been nailed on for Hattons second defeat imo.

Over three months is not enough time to get ready? How long does he need?

I read this last night on the bbc site - Seems odd to bail out so publicly, but I think the Hatton's know it's a given that ODH has too much at the heigher weight for their man.

Hatton would be carried out on a stretcher.

Even he is not so daft to fight DLH.

DLH KO 3

DLH v Williams or DLH v Mosley or DLH v Wright (bad fight for Oscar) or DLH v Mora or DLH v Cotto/Margarito...plenty of options as always.

Mora has said he's going up to 160. He says 154 is shit. Personally, I'd like to see him fight Mora and then Cotto in December (I can't see Miguel being ready in time, especially if he's cut).

Mora has said the fight "is a natural" following his victory over Forrest.

Expect an objective fight report on that one from Emerson.

I was quite surprised when i read that i thought Hatton would happily take the beating for the purse that comes with it. Not many fighters would turn down an Oscar Mexican independence day fight. Seems like Hatton wants Pacman instead which would be winnable but at the respective stage of their careers i'd think Pacquiao would be the favourite depsite being an ex flyweight and probably 3 fights from fighting at 130lbs.

The Mora fight would be huge in LA and although a mark time fight before the Cotto/Margarito winner it would feel like something much bigger locally at least.

Pac-Man will KO Hatton quicker than Floyd did.

The evidence that

1) Pac-Man is in the class of Mayweather athletically, and the only time Hatton fought someone in that class (namely Floyd) he got his ass handed to him.

2) Pac-Man is an awkward southpaw and a massive puncher.

3) Pac-Man has underrated cuteness.

4) Whichever way you look at it, Hatton's skills aren't great and he's on the slide.

Pac is too small.

Hatton is a bully.

He knows DLH knocks him out and maybe causes permanant damage. Maliginagggggi can not break an eg and Pac Man is a former superfly that has been stopped twice early in his career and shaken up by JMM.

Its either $20M Vs DLH and gets mashed down= 1 PPV

Or

$15M for two low risk fights also add in the 2 PPVs at £15.00 each

Hattonn is a caant.

Hatton would never take this fight because he knows that his style is made for DLH and he'll end up brutally KO'd much quicker than he was against Floyd.

It would be like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre in boxing gloves. :D

I wonder what weight they wanted Hatton at? DLH is pretty much a Light-Middle these days - too much for Hatton to bridge whatever the $$$.

Pacquiao sounds interesting and very marketable but for the reason above I don't really think this should happen either, Hatton is too big for Manny and should fight someone his own size.

De La Hoya is way too big, strong and stylistically wrong for Hatton. Sensible decision from Ricky's camp for me. Hatton would be a big underdog so what's to gain for him? He already has tonnes of money. And if he did take a bad beating, which I believe he would, people would unfairly run him down and claim he was overrated all along.

yeah yeah whatever.

like he did with forbes.

and hatton is better than forbes.

hatton wants to stick at 140.

otherwise he'd be chasing the dosh that this fight would bring.

just admit he hasn't gone for the money this time.

admit it. :D
