Someone should tell Eammon the Robbie Peden story.

Unbelievable comeback from Aussie Robbie Peden this weekend, as noted by Stu in another thread.
I'm the sure the story could be an inspiration to the recovering Eammon Magee.

Peden suffered a nightmarish attack while he slept in his home in 1999.
Hit 17 times in the head with a bat. He required 55 stitches and also received a broken finger and kneecap.

He was amazingly back in the ring four months later!

And with his great win this weekend looks headed towards a world title shot.

Its always good to hear great comeback stories like that.

I think the main issue with Magee is that time is not on his side. He's 32 now (i think) and it could take quite a while for him to recover. Also his injuries, depending on how they heal, may restrict his movement in the future. A badly broken leg may never be the same again.

Hopefully he will make a full recovery in time to still have at least a chance of going back in the ring but he seems to think otherwise.

it's hard to compare them cos the injuries are different. Cos Peden could recover doesn't mean Magee will. However Eammon can take inspiration from this.

Not entirely different. Magee has a broken kneecap, too.
Eric Armit has long sung the praises of Peden in BN. The Aussie gave Juan Manuel Marquez a really tough fight and could be better than Danny Green. He deserves a proper title shot.
