audley harrison v martin rogan
Re: audley harrison v martin rogan
I thought Colin was fighting Rogan. What happened?
Re: audley harrison v martin rogan
well, audley is full of skills and tested to a decent level, rogan is full of heart but perhaps not the skills.
i can see the crowd really getting behind rogan for this one, with audley being treat like a pantomime villan.
if rogan gets close and works the body and brings looping hooks over the top, then i can see him stopping audley. basically if audley gets beaten by an area level fighter like rogan then its the end of his career.
audleys gang have made a big big mistake in choosing rogan as an opponent. nice to see rogan earning another decent pay day too.

Re: audley harrison v martin rogan
but then if Big Aud performs anywhere near what he did against Williams Roggie will be splattered, no evidence to suggest he will though is there.
Re: audley harrison v martin rogan
If Audley can't beat the Irishman, who is much smaller and has comparitively limited skills, Parcel Force should def pack up!
Saying that i've got a feeling that the Londoner will be in shape and Rogans style should be made for him
Harrison impressive inside the distance

rogan wont be that small
hes about 6ft2 6ft3 and strong
rogan mustnt get tied up
audleys got a dodgy chin and no stamina
ROGANS THE PRIZEFIGHTER

Re: audley harrison v martin rogan
in all honesty, if rogan lands then it could well be all over, just got to get inside audleys long reach and tag him with the right hook to the chops.

I heard on the grapevine that Colin is fighting in Italy in July, against a ranked opponent for a title and a big pay day. I thought Vidoz but he was down to fight Gammer but I now see he's fighting Sam.Emerson Poncey Name Ghent wrote:I thought Colin was fighting Rogan. What happened?
I wanted to ask Colin this as his sister said he was fighting Rogan for the Irish Title then the rumour about the fight in Italy. Last time I saw Colin was on your birthday and he was drunk as a skunk so didn't ask him his future career plans.

Very true, could be interesting.......the clock is ticking, Audley

Big Aud is certainly an accident waiting to happenrhino222 wrote:in all honesty, if rogan lands then it could well be all over, just got to get inside audleys long reach and tag him with the right hook to the chops.
Re: audley harrison v martin rogan
The more I think of it the more I think Audley will beat him failry easily. As much as I'd love the mad irishman to get something form the fight, I dont see it. Good on him getting a decent payday though.
Re: audley harrison v martin rogan
Audley KO1
Re: audley harrison v martin rogan
I just don't get the whole Audley thing I have to be honest.
He won the Olympic gold and there was a razamataz of boxing on BBC1 and everyone thought we had another Lennox Lewis on our hands then.........
I'm sure this has been debated in previous boards but what is the general opinion on where it all went tits up for Audley?
is it age
lack of ambition
BBC putting him top of the bill too early as a novice
Showbiz lifestyle
I swear it just baffles me how you can go from Olympic gold medallist to a laughing stock so quickly? In Cuba he'd be a god ffs.. (obviously without having ever turned pro)
Jesus wept...

I really do like Rogan but Audley would be too high a step up in class - he probably would stop him if we're honest because Rogan is easy to hit.

I dunno about that but Im fully confident of Audley winning.Chambers2 wrote:Audley KO1
Rogan may have power and heart but what I expect to happen is for him to come out throwing a lot of shots, Audley being very defensive early on. And eventually after maybe 4 rounds or so taking advantage of Rogan's fatigue. Rogan hasn't fought ten rounds before, and while Audley is no Paula Radcliffe, he can fight at his pace for 10 rounds, and also McGirt seems to be drilling defence into him as Audley is the past has been one to forget to keep his chin tucked, and also I remember discussing on another board about how Audley opens his mouth and grunts when he throws shots, we all know what that led to against Sprott as he got whacked with his mouth wide open.
Audley to win.

I'd probably back Audley if I were putting money on it but I would love Rogan to do him.

They've both shat themselves while working, though, right?jameswilson wrote:I dunno about that but Im fully confident of Audley winning.Chambers2 wrote:Audley KO1

Lol, but he is still going and I predict more accidents ahead! I don't think Rogan will do it thoE wrote:Surely the accident has already happened? Audley by KO about round 4, Rogan's record is slightly flattered by the Prize fighter tourniment.
