Shame you are not at Wembley would have been good to meet you

Kev
Im sure there will be plenty of chances to meet up for pint or two kev, I know Jess is looking to put a show on sometime in the near distant future
it probablys sounds like him to put Esham on. If so then hopefully we will get the call.

Thanks Bennie, although im sure Adi wouldnt agree with you. ha ha ha.

That really was just highlights of a long and enjoyable amateur career, but I didnt want to bore you too much to go on and on, haha.

I retired just as head guards became compulsary, I couldnt stand them, we had to wear them in the championships as you got to the later stages and in internationals but not a club show level, now they are a must.

Feels like I stopped boxing at the right time.

Were you tall for a flyweight? I seem to recall a pic of you in BN.

Steve Connolly. I covered a lot of amateur boxing in the 80's (with legendary amateur boxing correspondent Brian Pigden) and I know I've seen you fight. Did you box for Young England?
