What on earth are they thinking of?
On Sunday June 16 at the Italian Club, Perth, Pieter Cronje is fighting Roy Sio in the main prelim.
Cronje is 8-2 with 4 KOs. His losses were in his second fight and against South African champion Osborne Machimana. I can find no record of Sio fighting anywhere.
Mismatch, or attempted murder?
PROMOTIONS IN PERTH
Re: PROMOTIONS IN PERTH
Cronje whooped Wilson a while back. I wouldn't mind seeing him again. I have never heard of Sio though. What sort of name is that, Islander? I wonder if Anton can tell us a bit more about him? Is it his fighting debut or has he previously competed in combat sport other than boxing?
Re: PROMOTIONS IN PERTH
Cronje stopped Brian Fitzgerald in three rounds on May 30. It was a TKO but Big Brian was out on his feet when the referee stopped it. When Cronje hits them they tend to stay hit.
Re: PROMOTIONS IN PERTH
I just hope Green Machine promotions get back in the game. There is another promotion listed that has Daniel Dawson v Joshua Okine and Mark DeMori v (cant think of it) but they are both decent fights. Fingers crossed boxing survives in this state!!

A good card could be built around this.
Re: PROMOTIONS IN PERTH
Dawson goes better when he's with Ron Parr. He must be back in the fold as Ron's promoting this card.
Re: PROMOTIONS IN PERTH
yeah I hope Ron builds a good card around these two good fights. The fighters and the fights are out there as we see with Kickett v St Claire, I just hope for some good boxing cards in the future.
Re: PROMOTIONS IN PERTH
It seems the Cronje/Sio fight has been abandoned. Perhaps sanity prevailed.
