Seems like Macklin vs Gibbs is definately off.... but Andy Lee is stepping in Macklins place.... Wow tough comeback fight for Lee.
Good looking undercard scrap between Paul McCloskey (who is progressive VERY nicely at some pace) fighting Nigel Wright, who ran Olusegun very close last time.
Limerick bill - 19th July.
Re: Limirick bill - 19th July.
That would be Limerick Stu :P , ya the bill is shaping up nicely and if tickets don't sell out soon I may go to it .
Both Lee and McCloskey have serious but winnable tests and Stephen Haughian also faces an Italian with an okay record so there's a lot less mollycoddling on this Peters card compared to normal ,
Jason McKay and Limerick Cruiserweight Jamie Power make up the rest of the card , apparently McKay is going down to Middleweight and wants a shot at Darren Barker . Barker would be too good for McKay(and by quite a bit) imo but it's nice to see some ambition .
No idea what Power is like but that's 3 Irish Cruiserweights who have turned pro in the last few months and with the likes of John O'Brien and Mark Clancy around and Darren Corbett making a return, there is the potential for some decent fights in the future between Irish Cruisers .

what happened macklin?
i heard peters say he's signed for fwank warren under an 'agreement' but i can't imagine peters agreeing to let a guy go 6 weeks before he's chief support to a TV card with Bernard Dunne. Anyone got info??

Yeah, Matty has signed a two-year contract with F rank Warren. According to Macklin, all of his fights will be staged in Birmingham.
Re: Limerick bill - 19th July.
A big thanks due to Brian Peters for resurrecting his career then!
I might go down to this one in Limerick. It's a bit far though, so will wait and see.
