Where is Dan Donnelly's arm?
Now there's a question that could only be asked by an Irishman, but anywho...
On the week that he was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, myself and a few mates would love to take a pilgrimage to see Dan Donnelly's arm. I know that at one stage it was in the Hideout Bar in Kilcullen, Kildare, but I don't think it is now. Anyone know where it may be on display, or if it is?

Re: Where is Dan Donnelly's arm?
cheers for that. but it's from two years ago according to the date at the bottom. anyone know anything about it's whereabouts now??
Re: Where is Dan Donnelly's arm?
I believe its is now in the old pub owners house.
I forget the chaps name but when he gave up the Hideout bar he took the arm with him. Something makes me think he may have passed away and his son now has the arm. Anyway there are still set time when you are able to view the arm. I'll see what i can find out for you over the weekend and get back to you. PM me if I forget.

Strangely enough Hitler did in fact only have one testicle. The writer of the little ditty little realised the irony of his lyrics.jameswilson wrote:The same place as Hitler's ball I would have thought.

Iv never known about any fish having scallops and bollocks for tea tho, so in my mind his work is over-rated.WildWaylon wrote:Strangely enough Hitler did in fact only have one testicle. I heard that his mother (the Dirty fornicator) chopped it off when he was born and that it now resides in the Albert Hall
(ain't it strange how threads progress)

I have sent a few emails to some boxing contacts in the know in the ROI and am waitting for a reply. Once I hear from them I will let you know.
I have had the privledge is seeing this arm in the pub many many years ago and never really understood the history behind it all until a good few years later when I read "The History of Irish Boxing".

This should be of interest, the Irish boxing exhibition is on at Boston Collage, and in the article is a pic of the famous arm.

Great find Ian.
That also answers the question of where the arm is now, Boston lol.
Though I am lead to believe it is still owned by the Bryne family in Ireland and is out on loan (so to speak)
If I hear of any viewings in Ireland in the near future I'll mail you and let you know.
