Two slow upright guys with no finesse.

The one with the better fundamentals wins.

Yes, you already stated you think Froch would win by KO 2 or 3 posts above.

Pavlik is a far more proven commodity than Froch.

Froch!

Better chin.
but what about froch's defence. :o

pavlik would work his socks off.

pts win for pavlik.
The thing is froch has been in with some very decent fighters and non of them have been able to expolit his low left however people on hear remain convinced its an issue!

has froch even fought a european level fighter yet?

reid was barely scraping the barrel by the time froch fought him.

magee would be in a european top 10 but that's about it.

i'm not saying froch hasn't got talent.

he's got good stamina and fairly good skills and punch.

but he's open and disjointed.

pavlik is a world class big hitting slugger with fairly good skills as taylor found out in the 2nd fight.

froch needs to prove he can mix it up with these guys.

people like to criticise hatton but he was much more impressive in his rise thru the ranks than froch.

Its one thing getting away with it at the level he has been but its nowhere near the top level. I am not convinced he'd get away with it against rangy accurate guys like Kessler or Pavlik.

Mathew Barney was comming off a very controvercial (german) decision for a european title at the weight above. Dodson was there or there abouts as was Magee.. In terms of Hatton he held on to the WBU for 16 fights having vacated the british title after one fight because he wasn't keen on Witter and defended it against people of the class of Ray Oliveira, Stephen Smith (all due respect) and Vince phillips who was at a similer stage of his carrer to Reid when Froch fought him.

Between the tab and the shift key on the left handside of your keyboard you will find the caps lock key, please use it. That is all.

I see Pavlik coming out in the first with the more accurate, faster shots. After rocking Carl and backing him up, I think Froch gets fired up and throws some massive punches. A couple of these probably land and it's good night.

We haven't seen Carl against a world-class opponent, but I can recognise he's a fighter through and through. Together with Haye and Francis, he's my favourite British boxer at the minute, so I am a tiny bit biased.

Biased or blinkered is exactly what you need to be in order to tip Froch over Pavlik!

The remainder of us who do not suffer from those afflictions know we would be witnessing extreme exposure at its very brightest.......... sunglasses would be neccessary if you plan to sit ringside!

Froch bangs and is an excellent finisher, Pavlik has shown that he can be dropped and hurt. I'm taking the view that these aspects could be put together to result in a Froch win.

It's be a great fight and not an easy fight for either (except Carl Froch)

Not necessarily. Just because Froch is untested, it doesn't mean that he isn't capable of mixing it with the best. Also it must be said that there don't seem to be many top fighters who actually wish to give him the chance to prove his worth. In fact there doesn't seem to be anyone out there who is overly keen to stand opposite him period. How many pulled out ahead the night he was originally supposed to be fighting Inkin? Four or five if I recall correctly. Surely that must say something? At the very least, one has to conclude that Froch isn't the sort of boxer that many feel comfortable tackling at short notice.
Personally, I think that most of them just don't fancy the job.

None of this means that he could beat Pavlik of course because we have yet to see if that power and chin are transposed to world class but on the other hand, I don't think he's done enough wrong to be totally written off just yet.

I reckon Froch would be too strong and his confidence would show in the ring too. Pav is one of the easiest fighters to hit and Froch can bang a bit, especially when its an open target.

Kelly Pavlik would stop Froch in a tough fight. Pavlik could even go down before comming back and finishing Froch off. Pavlik has come through tougher opponents than Froch and has had far more experiance. It will take a lot more than Froch to end Pavliks perfect record.

Yes punctuation does help a lot and in some cases can make sense of a sentence. Henry the 8th spoke 10 minutes after he died, is nonsense as well as being impossible, but Henry the 8th spoke, 10 minutes after he died, does make sense. I find it hard to read anything where the wrong to,two or too is used. I dont know why but people seem to have the same problem with their and there. Christ there are young Asian kids who get it right, who can also speak, write and read at least one other Asian language. Why dont we know English all that well when its the only language we know, its shameful. Go on complain in a few years time when Mr Singh is your boss. TBH I think Mr Singh is already the boss in many cases. If he has worked hard got a degree and can speak English better than most of us can, he has earned his position.

Two right Waylon your, spot on their.

Regarding Mr Singh, I'd much rather have a hardworking non patriot over here than some of the patrioted bone idle doll dossing chavvy smackhead scumbags that we've got. Although IMO immigration needs to be tightened up over here as it seems to be out of control
