I was really surprised at Tony Doherty's antics after the main event.

What were his antics?

Brook could outbox Doherty. Doherty could get a bit beaten up by those sharp punches. I don't think we've seen the best of Brook, by far. We'll have seen the best of Doherty.

Funny that Doherty, in interviews, tries to come across as a guy who has great respect for ppl, etc, and then goes off like that. Is he mates with Jones, or did he just bond closely with him after their fight together?

Maybe it'll get him a shot at Brook. I doubt it was a calculated move as he seemed to have lost his temper.

Now, now...don't make Doherty out to be completely at fault. Actually, he was mainly at fault for over-reacting but I'm led to believe young Mr Brook started it by calling out to him over the ropes.

All good fun though and sets up a good first defence should McIntyre, Watson, etc not be entertained.

I don't think we have seen the best of Doherty yet.... well for kick off he should be fighting at Light Welter. If nothing else, his fitness will improve the longer he spends with Enzo C. One of the big difference between him and Jones was handspeed and I think Doherty's hand speed could trouble Brook.

Not saying Brook doesn't deservedly start off as favourite, he does - but I don't see it as a forgone conclusion.

Docherty was one of the best welsh ams for years, yet he's really dissapointed in the pro game (imo). Theres some interesting fights to be made at welter and at, what? 25?, Docherty is well in the mix. Fights between him, Watson, Thompson, Mcintyre, even francis jones would all be watchable.

Tony will improve now he's with Enzo, and like Stu says he looks fleshy to me at 147.

David Walker vs any of the mentioned would be exciting if nothing else.

As I have said before there are around 20 names that could probably all beat each other... you could add.

Sinclair, Magee, Amar, Mutley, Lomax, Young, Minter, O Donnel, Hatton, Smedley, Elwell, Taz Jones, Haughton - to that equation. All fights that wouldn't be forgone conclusions. Maybe even Tak if he is still fighting.

Jennings I would say is a level above at the moment.

One of them will get beaten pretty quickly, another will get beaten soon after and the remaining fighter will keep his unbeaten record for a year or two and do a bit better, maybe even Engish title level.

Then he will headline some shithole sports hall while the other two hang off his coat tails with 12-17 records....

Then the remaining fighter will get smashed at British or English title level and go back to tarmacing drives.

I think their fans were really very disrespectful, I like to see fans welcome both boxer to the ring and I hate this "Feckin Kill'em Mucker" shite, its a sport (granted one were you get punched in the face), and the opponent no matter how much of a mismatch has to be respected for putting his life on the line and getting into the ring for our entertainment.

The Hyland Bro's went Pro about the same time (Irish fighters tho, 3 boys) and I ahve to say their fans are the nicest most respectful blokes (and gals) you could meet, they get behind their man but are still polite and respectful to the opponents.

Loads of fighters have horrid fans. Even the more pleasant boxers. Scott Lawton's were meant to be out of line for the Khan fight. John Fewkes' aren't all that pleasant either - "Knock his fvcking head off" - not really appropriate with Fewkes being a clever boxer, rather than a puncher.

Some of the more volatile fighters out there, like Michael Gomez, have plenty of fans that seem to be out there just to have a good time.

But it seems like the fans match the Walsh brothers.
