I would be surprised if he ever got a shot a genuine world title. The scenario i see is that he will end up getting beat by someone he should of and would of beaten had he been motivated.
Haye essentially forced himself into a shot by playing the rankings game, and making himself no1 contender/mandatory for Mormeck.... no reason Moore can't do the same. Whoever wins between him and Baysangurov will be well placed, and surely be pushed up the rankings.

No idea mate, what with re-organisation fo our government department and exams Ive (disgracefuly) not done anything with VIP for a while.

What I do know, in response to Teddy, is that Sky rejected a fight between Moore and Vuma even though the WBC agreed to sanction the winner a final eliminator for their title, so a quarter final fight if you like. Instead Sky wanted Moore Facey 2. The WBC have had Jamie as high as 8th and should he beat baysangurov (big ask as the eastern euro lad is a cracking fighter good) I think jamie will get an eliminator off them at the least.

I've also heard GBP werer very impressed with Jamie's performance on Hattons undercard, although its always difficult to predict the future and Jamie has this fight with baysangurov to look to, and im sure he wont be looking past that.

Steve would eb better clearing things liek this up though, as all I know is snippets.

If that was everyone's attitude, there would be no contenders.
True In parts but In this case, Moore would clearly stand no chance against Pavlik or Abraham and Sturm.

Jamie has given no proof, at least to me and others on this board, that he can't win world titles.
What proof has he given he can? He's good at tear ups and Is tough hard working pro but he looks awful when he's getting outboxed.

Asidde from the second facey fight, when he had obvious and evident motivational problems, I dont really remember him looking awful whilst getting outboxed... could be wrong though.

All the title holders at lightmiddle are waiting to hear who DLH is fighting next, as he's the cash cow in boxing.
I see that Kirkland has already got a match lined up aginst Deandre Latimore , he's the guy that KO'd Sechew Powell last week. Could be another shootout.

I would love for Jamie to take on Bunema before he fights for the European title, because this Baysun guy is far better than Bunema.

For once i'm going to agree with MM
So, based upon that theory Gamboa has given no proof he can win a world title?

I'd still like to know how often he's looked awful "when getting outboxed".

That and Jones 3.

The Macklin fight was a war, but Macklin has lost every domestic level fight he's had and was ahead at times until Moore sparked him.

Calzaghe has looked awful at times, when he has fought fighters below his level. And he has looked great, when motivated for a big occasion, when he has a bit of fear re his opponent.

I wouldn't read too much from Moore vs Facey II. Facey was stepping up & improving from the last fight. Moore can't take his performance to the next level unless a "next level" opponent is delivered. He's been stuck in a bit of a limbo and - as stated by someone above - Sky Sports have turned down opportunities for him to move on which is unfortunate.

Moore at his best is a controlled aggressive boxer who breaks ppl down with short punches. His beatdowns of Michael Jones (1) and Dave Walker were pure controlled fury, fantastic to watch.

Look how he fights when he is stepping up: 1st Michael Jones fight. Jones, tall like Facey, much better quality boxer than Facey. Moore absolutely beats him up, looks fast, intense, has that extra bit of adrenaline to lift your performance. Since that he's fought Jones another two times and Facey again - the performances have not improved, because a fighter has to be matched with fighters who are above him, if he's to improve.

Bunce said last weekend, that Jamie was one of our best wasted talents - meaning it in the nicest way possible. Due to what he is capable of, and how his career has been mapped out (the demand for a conveyor belt of gruelling British title scraps). Buncey likes to have a thinly veiled pop at Sky every now-and-again.

Moore's step up opponent is coming over in September. I believe Jamie's performance will raise and that he can get a very good win. But Baysangurov is very dangerous, and it's a risky assignment.

Bunema's a good match, Dioufy, I agree. If Moore beats Bays, who knows, maybe he could fight someone like Bunema in a WBC elim.

I see Max's point with Facey 2 to a certain extent but totally outboxed is a bit harsh. I had Facey winning some rounds, but that's it.

And 80% of Facey's work was pure spoiling. Piss off the opponent and only afterward, hit them.

Ricky Hatton said it best before the fight, "I don't like this fight."

Bad bad move for Moore, the middlweights are too big and too much quality. Abraham and Pavlik hit too hard and Moores defense wouldnt stand upt oit. We should all know Moore isn't truly elite world class, surely thats a given? At 154 he stood a chance of getting a belt because of the weak belt holders and hes strong at the weight. And that chance certainly wouldnt be a big favourate but he would be 50-50 or 60-40 against a few

I'm dispointed with this move, I like Moore but if he steps in against a belt holder at 160 he'll get handled

I don't think it is a move. Far as I know the Healy tune up and the fight with EBU champ and WBC#8 Baysangurov is still on. At 154.

Holy shit. Kirkland is very, very strong and I think he's going to do really well. He's not going for easy opponents now and I'm really impressed.

Didnt Hall get KO'd inside a round by conception... if so isnt this the reverse of what your saying about moore? i.e he's shown you nothign to suggest hes good enough to win a world title yet halls show enough to suggest he'd beat moore? Regardless, Jamie's got nothing to prove at Domestic level now, nothing at all.

I think had Moore of got the chance to face Piccrillio <sp> he wouldve beaten him handily. It was a joke that he was #1 for so long yet didnt get the chance, then form nowhere MIchael Jones gets the opportunity!

Oh, and Max, Jones 3 was not in anyway a boxing match, Moore wasnt getting outboxed, he was getting outgunned! In the second facey fight jamie was lunging in and wasnt boxing well by his own standards, he wasnt up for the fight (going over old ground) but facey was (last chance at brit title?). I was ringside and Jamie didnt look right, however, I wouldnt say he was being outboxed the way Hatton was for periods against Collazo for example. And its not something thats continuously happened to make me think its a problem. Infact against macklin jamie boxed brilliantly, watch how he rolls away from Matts shots.

Hall did get KO'd, I was there at the O2 to watch it and it was a good win for Conception. He's made a comeback but, with all respect to Matt, he isn't in the class or form of Rhodes or Pryce at the moment.

I think Pryce and Rhodes should fight it out for all the marbles. Winner fights for the Euro strap, which will be vacated after one fight probably anyway by Jamie when he wins.

Yes Jones 3 was just back and forth bust-up then Moore took him out, with Jones having his own moments and knocking Jamie down. There wasn't much boxing that night.
