I would have to say Nigel Benn.

Pure adrenalin action. Always knew he or his opponent could go at any time.

Reckon his fight with McLellan was the most exciting I have seen ever. Pure class.

Funnily enough the tape of that fight is in an ITV safe marked "never to be shown again".

My vote goes to Naseem Hamed.

From 1995-1999 he really had world boxing in his hand. The whole of the UK was unable to get away from his brilliance, whether we liked it or not, and his 9 defences throughout 96/97 was a great time to be a fan of his.

Such a shame he is also the biggest waste of talent from a British fighter of the past 50 years - he really could have gone down as an all-time great, but history is not as kind to him now as I thought it'd be....

Some of Hamed`s fights were a thrill a minute, but in others he stepped off the gas.

His fights with Kelly and Vasquez were quality.

I can just about remember the excitment Barry McGuigan brought to the screens when he fought, his title win was watched by millions.

Hamed could be great at times, but I can remember many a night when I was pulling my hair out watching him. He was very frustrating to watch at times and it was the big punch that often gave an exciting finish to an otherwise mediocre nights boxing. His entrances added quite a bit of excitement at times as well, but for in ring entertainment Benn comes out on top for me.

There are plenty of contenders but Benn stands alone, the Mcclelland fight being the height
That mix of vunerability, will to win and his ultimate power is so alluring.
Saying that when pushed Eubank showed the same characteristics(maybe not the same vunerability) were shown v Benn, Watson and even in his losing stands v the much bigger Thompson

It has to be Hamed. The buzz during the build up to his fights was something else and on the night the atmosphere always hit boiling point. Naz brought it in abundance, and like the man said himself, nobody does/did it better!

Its just a shame that he appears to have punked out after his first defeat. Perhaps it was a wise move though, i dont think he would ever have beaten Barrera, or Morales, or Paquiao, or Marquez!

Thompsons a good shout, I remember at Machester his shoulder coming out and thinking thats his lot. Jesus did I get that wrong went to Germany and won it, great guy and great attitude never write him off.

Nigel Benn and Prince Naseem by some distance and I give Naz the nod for all-round entertainment.

More recent shouts for Carl Thompson are well deserved and I'd add contemporary Bradley Pryce to that mix, from Gavin Down, to Michael Jennings and beyond - Bradley never disappoints. An antidote to the protected protege.

Bingo, get's my vote.

Every single fight he was in, you knew there was going to be a tear up, you simply couldn't avoid having a tear up if you fought Benn.
