In the walkout bout, James Parison (11-0, 3 KOs) of San Diego, California scored a four-round unanimous decision over Sergio Rios (18-8, 16 KOs) of Oxnard, California in a four-round light heavyweight bout. Parison, 172, pressed the action throughout, outworking Rios, 174, who had taken the bout on less than 24 hours. Parison appeared to hurt Rios late in the fourth with several right hands on the ropes. Judges Marshall Walker and Marty Sammon scored the bout 40-36, while Steve English scored it 39-37, all for Parison. spam.com scored the bout 40-37 for Parison. After the weigh-in on Tuesday, it appeared Parison would not have a fight, after his original opponent was so far over the weight, neither officially weighed-in.
