He isn't a fan of any sport except tennis so when he has any sportsman on its clear he has been given stuff to mention by a researcher. At times you wonder what the fornicate his researcher is being paid for tho.

Except for when Amir Khan goes on, because I think Jonathen Ross comes across like statto compared to Amir. Seriously the guy has the boxing knowledge of Emu from Rod Hull and Emu.

Roy looked the best he has looked for a good few years in his last fight, he got his rhythm going and looked rather slick (eventhough he was fighting an overblown welterweight). I honestly wouldn't be surprised if RJJ surprises a lot of people and beats Calzaghe.

I don't think you can "blame" the research, Ross plays on his lack of sporting knowledge.... I actually like it when he interviews a sports star - cause his lack of knowledge makes it funny (and Ross is being intentionally funny).

I don't like it when he has movie stars and has to arse lick, cause its sometimes obvious when he doesn't like a movie but he usually says "Seen it, loved it".

I just don't think he's a terribly good film critic tbh, he is too nice give me Mark Kermode any day!

The lack of sporting knowledge is just a ploy IMO so he can ask the questions a norman member of the public would want to ask (who is watching his show) like does it hurt and what are you thinking when you get hit... he has interviewed enough boxers that he probably picked some of the stuff up (I've seen him interview Lewis, Khan and I think Hatton)
