Thats a tough one, maybe Brian. Well he was very popular both sides of the boarder at least....
If this goes anything like the Fagan Vs Murray thread expect this to run and run! I'd say everyone in British boxing who comes on these forums must know those two names from purely this forum!!!!!!

I think Dave MaCauley i sthe most underated fighter in Europe. He definitely deserves consideration in this poll.
Re: Irelands best.
THeres too any to pick from at the minute all at a simular level, I think if this question is asked in 12months time there will be a clear leader from the pack of up and comming fighters. I think the group will be Murray, Haughian, Duddy, Macklin, McCloskey, Lee, possible Dunne if he gets his act together again, also possibly Fagan though I'm not sure yet, still think he will give Murray hell.
Even once those lot move up there are more comming though behind them so I wouldn't expect them to stay on top too long, The Hyland Bros are all decent boxers, wilton is a good up and comming Bantamweight, (don't believe everything you read in BN). Willie Thompson seems to have gottena decent wake up call and should be moving onwards and upwards soon.
What do you guys reckon to Irish HW's rogan and Belshaw then aswell seeing as HW is the flagship division?
Best Irish boxer now ? Steve Collins, Dave Boy McAuley, Andy Lee., Magee, Sinky? I'm really can't pick one.

Dave is definatly a forgotton boxer when people talk about ex champs, for a guy who had only 23 bouts 10 of those were for titles, mainly world championships.E wrote:I think Dave MaCauley i sthe most underated fighter in Europe. He definitely deserves consideration in this poll.
