I'd like to see kahn/katsidis but we know that wont happen after tonight
Re: who will amir khan fight next??????
After Jon Thaxtons lost to Yuri Romanov. It wouldn't surprise me if he finally got the fight he's wanted for awhile.
Thaxtons 35? Been through the mill. He's a little shot. Proved he's not even at euro level anymore. With how poor Khan is. Maybe even Thaxton is still a few steps to high for Khan? He isn’t a super featherweight after all!

It won't be Thaxton as he has another EBU fight coming up, and Khan's next fight is in September.

All i would like to see is Kahn share a ring with somebody his own weight, height, ability and see how he goes. Its about time Warren unwrapped him from his bubble wrap. It will either make or break him.
Re: who will amir khan fight next??????
A half decent lightweight would be nice. I'm tired of all these super featherweights.

There aren't many 5ft10-5ft11 lightweights so asking for someone his height would be tough.
Certainly its about time the blown up super-featherweights, and small at the weight lightweights, stops tho. It kinda makes all this 'the boy becomes a man' chat that ITV are pollishing their nuts about, look a tad tedious.
Re: who will amir khan fight next??????
Well I would go for whoever wins the British title match next month (Murray Meger) Murray has been opperating at a pretty poor level recently dispite earlier promis while Meger is light punching and hasn't been stopped meaning Khan would learn plenty, also another title would be something for the television to market well.
Again a hard but winnable fight, I suspect it'd depend how good the winner of that fight looked.

Re: who will amir khan fight next??????
just listen to Warren's reaction, he don't want no world top 10 yet, lol.
So whats up with Khans trainer plans??/

Buddy McGirt I heard but his fighters nowadays don't have great defence anyways - he should go for Roger Mayweather for me.
Re: who will amir khan fight next??????
is this khan's last itv appearance?

You would have more chance of getting a blow job off the Queen.hitman_hatton1 wrote:

I couldn't be arsed hanging around for the post-fight interviews. What was said? Specifically regarding this being Khan's last fight on his present contract with Warren. Anything said about that?
If Khan stays with Warren, I would think he will moved to Setanta, which would be a shame, as for all the alleged hype of Khan and his poor opponents, having someone on terrestrial pulling 6-8m is good for the sport.
As for the opponent, maybe that depends on who he's with. If there's a date for his next fight - September - that suggests he's staying with Warren, at least for one more? I'd put a few bawbees on Rees as the opponent, although could easily be an easier opponent, as management-wise, they're effectively treading water now until the world titles sort themselves out. I don't think, for instance, that Campbell will be able to hold on to three belts for long,

AFAIR, Warren announced the date for his next fight - September 6th I think it was - but no mention of a multilpe-fight deal by him or Khan
Re: who will amir khan fight next??????
If Khan craves a world title as much as he claims then this is the moment to jump ship.
However, i find talk of Campbell, Diaz, Katsidis etc laughable after last night's performance. Gomez was a sitting target. Imagine Katsidis landing those left hooks? Or Diaz hitting the body like Gomez did? Khan wouldn't beat Campbell IMO He is too mobile and skilled and hits hard too.
Khan claimed afterwards that Gomez was world class. If he believes that then he is truly in for a rude awakening.

Re: who will amir khan fight next??????
I would be happy for Khan to fight a lightweight in the region of 20/30 in the world. If I was Frwank (assuming Khan sticks with him) then someone like Rolando Reyes, Funeka, Escobedo or even if Khan's really confident, Cherry for his next fight. He's got to be put in against someone who's a natural 135lb'er because once he's put in against one, it's going to be a shock when he can't push them back so easily like he does now - so for me, it's imperative that Khan gets used to that now and really starts to learn.

Why not Santa Cruz, many thought he beat Casamayor, hes a lesser boxer than Khan and doesnt have a massive punch but is well schooled a big lightweight. It would be a big scalp and
John Murray when hes British champ would be a very big fight with 2 unbeaten Brits in their prime and very very winnable. Murray isnt the same quality as boxer as Khan, isnt a massive puncher but is in his prime, excellent stamina/workrate.
Gavin Rees is the other option and a biggish pressure fighter, high workrate and quite quick opponent.

I think they've run out of escape routes.
Who on earth can you match Amir with who is credible/ but wont knock him out?
Dont have a clue who they'll dig up, but if he has his hands full with Gomez.... Maybe Murray? Looks very beatable.
