Many months ago i asked if anyone knew where i could get an unlicensed bout. I have scoured internet websites, sent numerous E-Mails and had no luck. I was training at a club in Weston but after a little lay off i have decided to train alone with a trainer. It will take a few months to get me back in to shape but if anyone can direct me towards anyone who promotes white-collar boxing id be grateful.(would rather do that then fight in dodgy unlicensed bouts where someone told me bribes and cheating are rife).
Cheers

Cheers. I wont go down the amateur route as it just doesnt interest me!. Plus a couple of mates of mine got screwed out of decisions by judges when their opponent hardly laid a glove on them. Also i still hate wearing a headguard!!!!!

I wouldn't count on fair decisions in unlicensed boxing. Especially if your opponent sells 3 times as many tickets as you do...
Mate, unless something has changed there's loads of un-liceinced in Weston, it was the biggest place in the South West for it.
Of the 5 or 6 lads I know who have fought un liceinded (over a year ago admittedly), all have fought up there. From memory the lads they fought all came from Weston and were called Beetle (?) (Two brothers, Gary and Dean (?) and some smaller lad called Shane Main.
Im a welterweight (6"3 lol) can get down to light welter. Dont wanna fight in Weston as i dont want any family knowing i do it. Seriously word spreads like shit off a stick round here!!!!!
Im prepared to travel anywhere in the UK seriously doesnt bother me!

you want to speak to alan mortlock he has loads at the circus tavern
Funnily enough thats what my mate called me lol. Yeah no one wants to know. Ive had a few calls back about my height and weight and one guy said i just "wouldnt fit the bill". Its annoying me quite a feckin lot. Just cant go amateur for many reasons even tho id love to as i think id stand a decent chance with my reach.
Seriously ive tried to bulk up and my body just wont let me. I eat like a horse and dont put on an ounce of weight. Even if i dont eat for days my weight stays solid at around 10"12ibs.

Isn't Chris Sanigar nearish to you? If so, give him a bell.
your making this guy think he's the next big thing, when in reality he probably hasn't had a fight. To say chris sanigar would look at him is stretching it a little.
Hardly. It's not easy finding someone of his height with such a low weight. If he doesn't try, he doesn't get. What's he got to lose?! If you don't encourage people, how will they ever progress?
Better to have tried and failed than to have not tried at all.
I didn't mean it like that. If I knew Jack Bishop personally I could try and get him in down here, but it's a bit of a way for him to travel and Sanigar was the first that sprang to mind near him.
Ash, ask Bill if he thinks Jack would like to take a look at you.
To be fair, I don't think he is proclaiming himself to be a champion in the making. He doesn't want to make a living out of it, and just wants to try it out to say "I've given it a go".... which is fair enough.
Personally, if he cannot stick wearing a head guard, then he is not going to stick being pummelled... my advice would be to get used to the head guard and have a bash at amateur, its a lot safer and alot more dignified (e.g. respectable for your community) than the un licenced stuff.
Seems like you are very fussy on the terms, and it will be hard for a manager to take you seriously. Divas get found out pretty quickly.
What I find odd is that it's not hard to find a fight whether it is amateur or white collar.
If you really want to do it just go and do it and stop chatting on these boards about it.
There are plenty of gyms about, do some sparring and u'll soon find out whether u fancy it or not

Exactly
Yes i know i mentioned on another thread about 'white collar' so went along to a Am club here to just try out on the bag again, god i was awful . But did enjoy a quick spar.
Might just keep to the getting fit, but was fun to get back into a gym.
How old are you Ash Weston?
What training have you had so far?
Your no headgaurd argument sounds a bit weak and your making poor exscuses about judgeing etc I think your a bit of a dreamer.
