Ajetovic's trainer George Scholfield apparently got told to stay away from him as he was a lazy fighter when considering whether to take him on or not, although his trainer did say Ajetovic trained really hard for this fight.

Ajetovic looked good at times but Geales superior jab kept him in his shell most of the night. Ajetovic won a couple of the early rounds, then did nothing until the last and tried to KO Geale which was far to late and he ended up being beaten to the punch in that round also.

Dib fought a guy with a record of 4-5 very ordinary matchmaking and im suprised it lasted until the 3rd. Dib isnt really that special he is far to lazy and showboats to much. If he actually fought for the whole fight he would be good but he tries to fight like Hamed but dosnt have the one punch power that could get him out of trouble.

Ben, do you think Ajetovic could have won if he'd worked hard? Did he just (as I suspect) throw a lot of rounds away, simply because he looked like he couldn't be bothered?

No. The few times he did come out of his shell he didn't look anything special and even when he did get through Geale came back with as good or better shots. I was hoping for a better display from Ajetovic but he seemed, like many imports we get here, happy to come just to see the Harbour Bridge and have a ride on the Manly Ferry.

I dont think he could have beaten Geale but he could have made it very competitive, Geale was to fast and accurrate. Every time he opened up there would be a good exchange but Geale was coming out on top most of the time.

With Ajet's workrate/way of fighting, he was never going to fight well vs a good young fighter away from home.

a good fight 4 Geard would be against Steve Bendall who has just beat Paul Smith but i doubt Bendall would get in with him
