Mike will fight anyone, take my word for it, he is as game as a badger and when he calls out Corrales he means it.
Of course he knows he'd be a massive underdog, he isn't the sort of lad who thinks he's unbeatable (like many do) but it doesn't matter he'd get in there in a heart beat, hold his hands up and do his best to go to town on Diego.
He's chancing his arm for a big pay-day and why not, you never know it might happen.
But whatever happens always remember:

If the guy can get a good payday out of it, good luck to him, but I doubt this fight will happen and Gomez would be WAY out of his depth IMO.
Gomez would have little chance but you know what they say: "If you don't ask you don't get"....plenty of champions fulfill madatories against underdogs and no hopers from other countries, why shouldn't our boys be offered that opportunity?

Totally agree, it bad enough putting up with people with that sort of atittude when you go out for a drink, I don't need it comming through my TV screen either.
He likes to intimidate opponents for sure (and kept himself busy after the surprise loss to Lear with a stint of prizefighting), but Gomez is one hell of a banger at domestic level. I think he's taken out 19 of the 29 opponents he's beaten - that's a lot for a man who's never been spoonfed.
For Gomez it's a chance of a lifetime. For Corrales it's a gimme fight he's almost certain to win. Keeps him in the public and puts some money in his pocket.
It's worth a try. Richard Evatt got to fight Junior Jones, Kevin Lueshing got Trinidad and the both gave good accounts of themselves before the inevitable.

I can't to be honest, KOJOE. I just heard he loves to fight and took part in several bareknuckle 'contests' in and around Manchester after splitting from trainer Brian Hughes (and before joining Billy Graham).

Just wondered how he performed etc, can't help being interested in 'the underbelly' of the Noble Art either.
I know for a fact of another VERY well known UK fighter who has recently taken part in a unlicenced fight. He won by the way even though being about 5 stone over his fighting weight,
