Never taking a liking a to the Pac hype.
When you've won titles in 4/5 (depends whether you include his belt-less win over MAB at 126) divisions and beaten 3 future Hall Of Famers, I don't think it's "hype" anymore!
I thought he lost twice Vs Marquez, the Flyweight belt was hogged by Thais and Diaz was the right champ.

Hatton won a title at a higher weight class too picking the right champ, so did Rees fighting M'baye.

Pac's best wins are over shot fighters. It's a Mexican merry go round with Pacquiao.
Harsh Max, he beat the man at Featherweight not cherry picked him. Barrera was clearly not shot goods in their first meeting. As he went on to run JM Marquez close.

Also, he skipped two devisions, so he could have been a 7 weight champion.

Khan would do allot better job than David Diaz. He'd land on Pac and may well beat him to the punch. Khan has 4 inches of height on Pac and a good few inches in reach. I would also expect Khan to be the much bigger fighter and be stronger. He also has comparable speed. Also Pac isn't a monumental puncher at 135. Pacquaio should win this by KO but Khan would win rounds, may do some damage to Pac and may even pull out a win. Awaits abuse

He skipped 2 divisions because he was dead at flyweight and got ko'd to the body as result. He was still big at 122, 126 and 130. But for the first time at 135 he will fight bigger men

Abuse.

youre saying someone who gets put down by michael Gomez, who was also a smaller man, slower, height advantage etc... beats the p4p best fighter on the planet.. nope.

All of the following could be said, but x10 about Gomez

"Khan has 4 inches of height on Pac (insert gomez) and a good few inches in reach. I would also expect Khan to be the much bigger fighter and be stronger (as he was vs mike). He also has comparable speed (better x10 speed than gomez). Also Pac isn't a monumental puncher at 135. (gomez wasnt at 130)"

You're absolutely nuts. How could anyone belittle what Manny's achieved?

I have high hopes for Khan too but right now all we have to go on is his current progression, which is worrying when considering european class opponents, let alone world class, let alone the class a fighter of Pac's ability would sit in.

Anyone with any sense and some boxing knowledge knew Manny was in another league to Khan before seeing him demolish Diaz. What the fight did was remind us how brilliant Pacman is and how far behind him Khan is at the moment. If Khan saw the fight and I expect he did he will know in his own heart Manny would be far too much for him to handle. I wouldnt be confident about him beating David Diaz either but it is just possible he might. Khan shoots his mouth off to get press attention a lot of the time. I can just see Franky having a laugh at the idear of Kahn against Pac and the words "you must be kidding" being said. Khan is good but at his level which is not world class just yet. Time will tell if he can cut the mustard at the top with the big names or if Euro is as far as he can go.

Well said mate, Pacman is not far off Mayweather IMO. A hard as nails boxing genius.

there is one thing wrong with amir and that is he doesnt keep fights at long range if he did that he could be a world champ he losses his strenghts by going for knockouts all the time getting to close when he should hit with a fast combo then move around the ring and keeping his hands up when he does as he gets caught moving away alot he could given time be very special as his hand speed is second to none.
oh and can he please fight someone half decent i know people have to be built up but allegedly needs to sort it out its getting boring now

As FW says, you can't put muscles on chins!

The thing with Khan is, he's gone on about being the best lightweight in Britain but he hasn't proved that by beating the best lightweights in Britain, I'd like to see him take on and beat the likes of Thaxton, Murray and Fewkes then he can justify his claims.

All that crap about becoming Britain's youngest world champ didn't exactly help him either. He wins a WBO eliminator, Nate Campbell the WBO champ couldn't get a fight until Guzman stepped up, I didn't see Khan or Warren jumping in to make a match with him after the Kristjansen fight.

Khan needs to win back the respect of the boxing fraternity by putting his money where his mouth is and seeing of his lightweight competition in Britain and Europe now as it's clear he's going nowhere near a world title for at least a year and he can't keep on fighting super-feathers during that time.

One thing i have noticed about each time he is knocked down. It's not that he is in Trouble from his opponent and then eventually gets knocked down. It's usually when he is trying to KO his opponent once and for all. He becomes way to careless and reckless throwing punches as fast as he can. He is eventually caught by a blind punch from the opponent. You can have the best chin in the world, but a counter punch against someone throwing punches recklessly will do damage. Don't matter who you are.

I think Khan needs to stop trying to impress by going for KO's. Forget the fact he is live on ITV. Just go for the confident comfortable win. (No Doubt you will get the idiots on here saying "oh look. He could not even KO so and so).

Must admit, I hope he loses too. Much better prospects out there who are humble, (just as) entertaining and have had to do things the hard way.
