Colin Lynes looks limited although Young Mutley looks impressive thus far, but its very early in his career. What about Tony Doherty?

This devision is wide open and somebody needs to get a strangled hold of the domestic market. I know Dean is adamant that he is a lightweight, but surely when he looks at the names I've mentioned he must be tempted to think about moving up. Compared to the domestic lightweight this bunch is poor.

I don't think Gilbert Eastman is British level at any weight i'm afraid, he just doesn't seem to be going anywhere above Area level, i have not really been too impressed whenever i see him. Although he is another ingredient in the mix and a useful additon be it at LM or Welter. I remember seeing Colin Lynes a while ago against a Jamaican fighter and is was decent but i have not seen him since and i hear he is not quite living up to what some thought he would be, Tony Doherty is ok but maybe a little hyper and wild he needs to relax more.

I thought Tony Doherty was more of a welterweight... Nigel Wright* may still be in the mix, a decent southpaw, however, I'm a big fan of Lenny Daws and I think he can rule the roost domestically. An old amateur rival of his, Lee Beavis* has been campaigning at 9st 9lbs, but he may grow into the 10st division and is a real quality boxer, southpaw too.

*Lenny beat both as an amateur.

although i think ricky hatton will go all the way to the title i cant help making comparisons between benn/eubank and hatton/witter.
like hatton, benn was the golden boy all action fighter tipped for big things and eubank was the john le carre style `fighter who came in from the cold`.

I see the analogy, though a better one would be Benn/Watson, Watson was the unfancied fighter, and Benn was meant to give him a slapskies.

However, no way do I see Witter doing that to Hatton.

Nigel Wright is slowly progressing at a decent rate, he must be one of the most active fighters around for starters, someone asked me for some of his stuff the other day and i thought i only had one fight, turns out i had ammassed five off various undercards. He just needs to up the opponent level a bit and he can be a good fighter.

Yes, Bosworth is the mandatory I believe, and it's just a case of deciding who he will meet for the British title if Witter vacates. Down and Barrett are in the running.

Oscar Hall could still do something, despite losing to Barrett. He only lost against Gary Reid because he was stagnating. Needs to be get up the ladder soon - holds a win over Bosworth.
