Anyone else looking forward to Diaz-Burton?

Courtney Burton, conqueror of Angel Manfredy, and Julio 'Kid' Diaz, also in my eyes conqueror of El Diablo, meet in an IBF 9st 9lbs eliminator on Friday night.
Should be a cracker as Burton received rave reviews when he stopped Manfredy and Diaz was hailed as a top prospect 'till he ran into Pollo Valenzuela.
Channel 5 screen it in the early hours of Sunday morning. Diaz has a fantastic workrate and I'm looking for him to outpoint Courtney.

I can't wait for this one. Did not know Channel 5 had it delayed overe here either. Touch. Strongly fancy Diaz though as saw Burton last time out and he didn't look too clever. Diaz is vastly under-rated and I reckon he wins here by mid to late stoppage.

Burton, when he doesn't let his weight spiral between fights, looks to have what it takes. For the youngest of the Diaz brothers it is a must win fight.

The winner from this can position himself as one of the premier light weights in the division. Good fight.

Pretty sure it was Diaz who was derailed by Pollo and not Burton?

Diaz has lost to Valenzuela, as well as being outpointed by Angel Manfredy, a result that surprises considering El Diablo's recent poor form.

Good old fashioned cross roads fight. I've seen Diaz who looked dynamite on the way up, then came that unexpected first round loss.
I see he was down last time out, maybe his chin's not too good?

I've never seen Burton, but he was down five times in his only loss, according to boxrec, to a guy who was blown away by Bojado.

I'd go for Diaz on points.

Well this was a superb world class contest. Diaz is one lightweight I wouldn't have minded seeing Ricky Hatton in there with last year. He showed beautiful skills on the backfoot for round after round, then just when you started to question whether his legs could last the course he totally changes the pattern of the fight with one right hand.

Solid finish too. I wish Diaz all the best, he truly was a master at work on friday night.
